Yeah, I’ll share this super helpful chart with the trans people in my life; I’m sure they’ll be totally reassured. Fuck off, NYT.

Outstanding news! We are… (also unionized at the University of Delaware)

Stand up for transgender people now or stand for nothing at all: lindseyadler.substack.com/p/the-urgenc...

I’m increasingly convinced the one in November wasn’t legit, but it sure feels like there aren’t going to be any more free & fair elections for a while.

Not surprised that Senator Lady G Chickenhawk wouldn’t understand the importance of the arts in global influence and power.

This guy says so many absolutely incorrect and dangerous things, but he says them with such arrogance about his “intellect” and disdain for anyone questioning him, that too many people just buy it.

I have been thinking of this film a lot in the past couple of weeks.

As someone in the arts, this is fucking depressing. But I agree, if he spent all his time honoring the likes of Kid Rock and less time, I dunno, threatening the lives of trans people, I’ll take it.

I mouth the words, as largely as I can so as to be able to be read, "You look like an idiot".

Is there any way to no-confidence this guy out of office?

I’m afraid we’re at the start of the first Star Wars trilogy, and Alderaan is in big trouble.

Wow, that really leaves a wide swath of interpretation. #WePlayBaseball was already taken, I guess?

Felt good to be at the protest in front of the Treasury, and as you can see in the pics, I felt I was in the MSNBC green room. Some good speeches, and a great crowd. Not hopeful yet, but feeling the community was really important.

Sharing along. Pathetic that I have to, but here we are.

@senatorchriscoons.bsky.social @bluntrochester.senate.gov @mcbride.house.gov 5-ALARM FIRE!! I’m a University of Delaware faculty member, and this is an immediate threat to many of my students and their families.

Not mutually exclusive at all – we need all four of these things. I wish I had any hope for numbers 1 & 2.

Thank you, Senator Wyden. So, do either of my Senators want to do anything, make some noise, shine some light? @senatorchriscoons.bsky.social, @bluntrochester.senate.gov? Democracy could be dead by Monday.

Delaware friends - be there!

I just saw a description of Stephen Miller as “Temu Nosferatu”, and that might just be enough to get me through the day.

I’ll be there – join if you can! Organizations like WFP are a bright spot in a very dark time.

I like Brian Schatz a lot, and I want to believe that Democrats are pissed off, but platitudes about the almighty (Leader Jeffries), slogans from the 80s (Democratic Party) and an *emergency* meeting that isn’t happening until tomorrow afternoon don’t really give me a lot of comfort.

Putting this out there for any university friends out there in the right fields. As someone in the arts at a university, I feel I’m simply an innocent bystander watching the beginning of the end of higher education in the United States.

My guess is that Fetterman joins the GOP before this session of Congress is through. Good people of Pennsylvania, please make him a one-term Senator in a few years.

I think Chris Hayes is a brilliant guy with a good moral compass. I can’t share his optimism, but I hope he’s right.

If you are a federal employee, it is advised to set your social media accounts to private to prevent outside viewership, as reports suggest that loyalty screenings have begun.
