I love this devastating piece from Andrea Cohen.

Yep I'm seated.

Really liked this tender film. He was so captivating. Beauty in simplicity.

Finally watched. Glad this exists.

This was lovely.

Did not expect to get teary-eyed watching Machel Montano's NPR Tiny Desk Concert, but I sure did. Soca to the world. 🇹🇹!

wish my life was like a 90's movie where all my friends work in record stores and bookshops and coffee shops and we see really cool bands in small little clubs and get breakfast together and like hang out on roofs and shit

Can't recall ever feeling this tired at the start of a year, but time is a construct so, 🤷🏾‍♀️.

I have thoughts about the SoE but they are incoherent. In summary: 🤦🏽‍♀️

What’s your favorite song about cutting your life into pieces as your last resort?

A beautiful, crushing song. Play this at my funeral.

Grief soca for 2025.

Navigating grief over the next 12 days But also navigating grief for the rest of my life I'm three seconds away from crying at any given moment Christmas has never mattered less And will never be the same again

2024:

This one is also a decent 2025 take on David Rudder's classic. Not overanalyzing, no point.

I love the original (it's one of my oldie faves) and this version is decent for its time.

I'm so thankful for cats.

Fascinating that this was made in 1961. Gut punch of a line: "I have loved you the way they've said."

Over on twitter the Drake fans are calling Kendrick Lamar “slave music” In my humble opinion, Drake and his fans deserve to oh, my lawyer tells me not to finish that sentence

James Taylor - Fire and Rain Rufus Wainright - I Don't Know What It Is Queen - Somebody To Love

This is one of those "...I see what you've done for others" kinda posts.

The Wild Robot Howl's Moving Castle The Wind Rises Across the Spiderverse Luca Raya and the Last Dragon Look Back Nimona Klaus Grave of the Fireflies (deeply moving... but can be watched only once )

Holy shit. Arcane.

Sometimes I just stare at this.

Truth.

Great thread on Bluesky features and functionality.

Say less.

I agree.

My fave film of 2024. For multiple reasons.

Saw this and immediately started humming the theme song.
