Rollercoaster of a week for millenials, Buffy's Michelle Trachtenberg dead (sob, apparently she wrote her own invesnted story arc to convince stupid Whedon to give her a part, gotta respect the fandom) and 5ive reuniting. My heart is very conflicted!

Highly recommend going to see Buffy ReVamped while it's on tour. My cheeks hurt from laughing and I'm hoarse from whooping. #SpikeSlayed

THIS! A powerful, hopeful and enjoyable presentation of some really valuable work around the barriers and facilitators for politicians trying to change food policy for the better. Phenomenal 'elite participants' + excellent avocado earrings @dollyvantulleken.bsky.social Bravo!! #WholeSystemsApproach

As a public health researcher, my inability to spell 'imporving' and 'intervnetion' is the bane of my life....#improving #intervention #SpellCheckIsMyGod #publichealth

Women’s health has long been overlooked and neglected. Could digitalisation help improve this situation? Find out in Loreen Chikwira and Danielle Jefferies' new blog: www.kingsfund.org.uk/insight-and-...

Listening to the inauguration. Think I sicked up in my mouth a bit...

Fixed it. "Trump's inauguration moved indoors to hide poor turnout this time around" www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

In other #PublicHealth news, thought this tool was interesting. But worried that it could be used like a shopping list by govts. to pick cheap interventions to use without considering local context or other not-included approaches blueprint.nesta.org.uk @davidjbuck.bsky.social seen this?

I think this emphasises how common sense sometimes is forgotten in the face of ethics constraints - ethics panels are there for a very good reason, but measured consideration must be used to ensure vulnerable, marginalised groups are still given (safe) opportunities to participate. #PublicHealth

Late to the game here, but loved this article championing the approach of using the "whole system of everyday policy making." We must go big, or go home. But do we have the visionaries in policy-making roles to deliver on this, I wonder? #WSA #PublicHealth

As I'm enjoying doing some WSA eval work in NI right now, I wanted to share some other work in the area. WSA's feel like the direction of travel and have so much potential. Local (and central) govts. should feel proud to invest in schemes that promise better futures beyond their tenure #PublicHealth

The irony is not lost on me ...

This should be my Friday spotlight public health tweet, and indeed I am back at work, but instead I'm going to reflect on how I can now confirm without a doubt that I'm old. I bought myself a debobbler for christmas and I'm so f*cking excited to crack that sucker out this weekend. #PublicHealthStuff

With advent calendars, decorations + gifts abounds, I have never spent quite so much time trying to figure out what my dog has in her mouth. (Its ok gang, it was a lamb braid this time...but she's side-eying me right now in a way that makes me feel I'm being lulled into a false sense of security.)

Had a heck of a good time @LettersLive last night - thankfully, this person shared some of the excellent letters read by Bumbleface Clumbersnatch and others. An absolute HOOT!

About to livestream the OHID session on Healthy Communities: Understanding and evaluating the impact of Community Champion approaches....wish me luck! 1/n
