As a librarian I second this

Since there is a lot of discussion around the necessity of political neutrality of journalists I want to open the discussion around the political neutrality of librarians. Both of these groups are involved in the distribution of knowledge and the expectations of neutrality are similar.

Getting ready for a date that involves s*x really feels like: "hey, I made you this beautiful work of art just so you can enjoy destroying it"

Boys, be careful what you say about a girl after her first puberty. She might just be way out of your league after the second one.

Just learned the term "recession pop" and my playlist feels called out. The bigger the crisis the calmer the pop...

So I'm "stealth" at work and today my coworker told me this story about a friend of her being in Thailand and that she met so many ladyboys there and that she was confused about who was a "real girl" and who wasnt💀

What's the meal between brunch and lunch called?

How do I get to not frear the world? It's just so hard to get to a point of empowerment when you're in fear. Specifically as a trans woman it's so hard to be the feminist killjoy when you are so occupied with trying not to stick out for the sake of passing and dodging hate crimes.

Are hogwarts very contagious? I rather check for them on my next STI checkup.

MAGA rn: Diversity: “Boooo bad, only strict qualifications (as defined by me) matter!!!” Loyalty: “Yes, perfect, this was in fact the only qualification I cared about.”

So I work at this book shop and a regular visitor is a transphobic ex co-worker from my first job. He doesn't recognise me because he only knew me pre transition but every time he talks to me I scream inside and I can't even tell my current coworkers because I'm not out to them.

I’m a part time librarian and I just want to echo what I’ve seen other librarians say recently: there is a HUGE uptick in requests for social justice, climate justice, abolition, history, etc books and I just want to say nobody is giving up the fight. If anything people are fighting harder #library

Exploring your gender identity doesn't always lead to a shift or change. Sometimes you explore to verify where you stood was where you are happiest. Nothing wrong with that.

I just need you to understand the degree to which every columnist and pundit claiming they just wanted to "follow the science" or have more research on trans kids is just remarkably full of shit

1. Multiple hospital systems are complying with an unlawful executive order with dubious enforcement mechanisms and pulling their trans kids off care. While most have not, those that have are harming their trans patients. The latest from Mira Lazine. Subscribe to support our journalism.

In my years of reporting on LGBTQ news this was by far the hardest. But we are still here. You made it to Friday. You lived. Good job. That wasn’t easy. Through a diversity of tactics, we will continue to live. Rest up, drink water, find community, so that we can all be here tomorrow too.

I honestly believe our most powerful position in a toxic time that feeds on cynicism, apathy,& despair is to genuinely care and act for a better world. Cynicism is our enemy. We should check it, incl. on the left. It’s not intellectually superior. It’s the virus they’re trying to infect us with. NO

These are the same picture.

Being trans is hard and all but have you seen how insecure some cis people are in their genders?

I wonder, are the terfs celebritng right now? Let's be real, the f in terf stands for fascist.

How comes that all the girlies nowadays wear dysphoria coded baggy stuff and outfits that literally look like your old boy clothes that you just found in a hidden corner of your closet?

I wish the politicians in charge of the US government a very safe trip to the Titanic

As a 2025 woman I look with envy towards the bushy eye brows of old men

My Girlhood is like how I do my homeworks. I started a little too late but I deliver.
