My fave part about living in Brooklyn is getting to accurately tell ppl “I’m taking the L” and “I took the L.” It’s like saying “bye Felicia” to someone named Felicia.

‼️ We need to do this for federal workers, farmers, veterans - amplify the voices of Americans directly impacted by funding cuts and layoffs. I would hit the road to do this myself if I had the means. (I definitely have the time!)

I feel helpless sometimes. I'm not a lawyer, trained for combat, or an elected official. But then I remember that I - like a lot of us - am chronically online. What we see and are enraged by will take time to reach the rest of the country. Don't lose hope! Ppl are waking up and the world is watching

I'm from Fountain Valley, a street light away from Huntington Beach. I started to tell people I'm from HB after moving to NY because it's easier to place on a map. Since 2020, I started saying "a city near HB" because it was shocking how MAGA that part of Orange County is.
