A friend with very young kids lost her husband last week at only 43 years old. Whenever I'm tempted to drift in malaise about politics, I think of her and how we must be actively taking care of each other. I'm not checking out, but politics isn't allowed to sap me of the ability to work these days.

I'm very health-conscious when it comes to how I feed my son. By this, I simply mean that I keep trying to hide nutrient-filled foods in the blended-up pancake batter to the point where he refuses to eat the final cooked result.

GenAI takes away the part of writing that I am best at (putting weird and interesting things into combination), and leaves mostly just jobs doing the thing I like least (making the jumbles into edited, meaningful sentences). I really hope it helps people in some way, b/c it ain't it for me.
