okay I have learned that at least one thing I thought was a blue prince puzzle was in fact a text rendering error that does not happen in my friend’s copy of the game. lol. lmao.

another post acknowledging another level of "what the fuck is blue prince"

his name is Huevos Extra

Feeling a lot of grief today for all the shit I’d be doing with my life if my body wasn’t forcing me to literally lie down and do nothing.

Switch 2? More like switch to the Sega Saturn!! Lots of games are being translated to English, the library is expanding rapidly for many western fans.

tired: Marathon reboot wired: Oni reboot

🧵 It would be great if friends of people with ME/CFS or long COVID would take the time to read this. These conditions are very socially isolating and lonely and patients would love to maintain friendships www.emerge.org.au/how-to-suppo... #LongCovid #MEcfs 1/

at ~200k views, this seems to’ve really impacted folks on tiktok; i’m not saying anything i haven’t said before in a million different ways… but that’s what we gotta do to see change—keep repeating things in different ways, eventually each niche framing finds its people. www.tiktok.com/t/ZTjLKRxUT/

huh, neat interview with the Blue Prince dev. It makes sense but is still *fascinating* that, when the game started dev 8 years ago, "roguelike deckbuilders" weren't really a thing, just tabletop deckbuilders and drafters like Dominion or Sushi Go. www.youtube.com/watch?v=7kX5...

There’s a single key lying by itself on my nightstand next to various household items, and every time I notice it some Blue Prince neurons fire and I think “oh, I need to collect that”

Me/cfs is like suddenly being dropped in a labyrinth that makes you ill without an exit, where you keep researching where the escape is, while being forced to continue all your tasks at the same time, for the rest of your life

It’s fascinating watching the Cracking the Cryptic guys stream Blue Prince. They *immediately* caught on to puzzle trailheads I only found dozens of hours on with a different part of the game hinting me, but also clearly have zero instincts for roguelike deckbuilder drafting strategy

Blue Prince

me yesterday: wow I must sound crazy when talking about where I am in blue prince and what I'm doing with the notes I'm taking me today: lol. lmao.

Also a key plot point of that book that people conveniently forget as they try to Torment Nexus the Young Lady’s Primer is that the “use AI to educate children” strategy completely fails (or is exploited by bad actors) except in the case where a caring loving parent is present and actively involved

A particular thing that is extremely funny about Blue Prince is how uniquely unlocalizable it is

a Heaven’s Vault- or Chants of Senaar-like where instead of a conlang you’re trying to comprehend and deconstruct a fictional society’s equivalent of dril memes

Can’t wait to play that hot new Bungie game everyone’s trying to get alpha access

their name is Rockstar

I deeply appreciate that I've encountered multiple things in Blue Prince you could describe as like a dungeon or boss fight, but puzzles, and thus far they've all been qualitatively different from each other instead of just "here's the one way we rachet up the difficulty"

I love unsweetened dried mango because it’s like humans were bold enough to ask “what if beef jerky was candy”
