How ironic the Republican Party of Arizona replying to the news of Zevon’s rock hall induction with excitement when they’re the type of bad people he writes and sings about. So, apparently people on social media are now finding out what an Octoroon is in 2025 because of Hailee Steinfeld and her character Mary in #Sinners. If Hailee were born in 1896 instead of 1996 in the Jim Crow south being an octoroon, she would be classified as black with the racist one-drop rule.

I was looking at Lenny Waronker’s production credits. I forgot he produced Rickie Lee Jones’ self-titled debut and her second album “Pirates”. Love those two albums. Rickie Lee Jones is yet another distinctive, remarkable artist who should’ve been in the rock hall already. #RockHall2025
