According to Kevin Weekes, it sounds like the Canes offered Mikko Rantanen around $108 million.

He is....*dramatic pause*...sink cat.....😂

evening magic ✨

Playing the Devils is a solid choice. I like the rivalry history we have with them, especially in the playoffs.

Is Mikko Rantanen a bad fit in Carolina? Only if you haven't been paying attention. My story: www.nytimes.com/athletic/615...

Brind'Amour with a good take on the benefits of Jarvis playing for Team Canada: "Especially for a young guy, being thrust into that atmosphere with the greatest players of the game, that's special. I think really what will come of it, is that he'll realize that there's not that much separation.

I missed this article when it came out but man, it sure sounds like Poirier has the right mentality if he wants to make it to the NHL. Focusing on leg strength, taking notes from other similar sized NHL players, diversifying his scoring tools. www.nhl.com/news/chl-not...

Damn I miss Jack. Not sure what kind of offense he'll settle at (I personally thought he had a bit more to give) but we really his his faceoff abilities. And he literally just got here haha.

Also, one thing I don't see people commenting on.....they're calling Slavin USA's MVP, that he's maybe the best defensive d-man in the league..... Y'all know he's already 30? Still doing this at 30, just Slavin things.

Hey Friends, Here's a reminder for anyone who might have a loved one dealing with any kind of Chronic Illness. Don't ask them to tell you when they need something. Often times they are too tired to even think about asking. Be proactive and think about how you can help and ask them yourself. 💓

Not my picture, posted from Iron Caniac on X. But y'all.....Slavin giving Jarvy a hug in the handshake line. I love my team.

Yall it's finally happened. I am seeing other fans claim that Slavin carried his defense partner. I am NOT saying I agree but it amuses me to see that it's finally bleeding out into non-Canes fans. 😂

(But no, seriously, if we retired Glenn freaking Wesley's number, there's just no way we don't retire Slavins. Especially since has the most points by a Canes defenseman? I think?)

Here's the reminder for anyone not as familiar with Slavin: 1. There was a rumor that he took less money in his first deal to "save some for everyone else". 2. He genuinely takes pride in winning the Lady Byng trophy. 3. His wife is super nice. 4. He's probably getting his number retired.

I love that Slavo's getting a chance to be in the spotlight. He is the nicest guy ever and so is his wife. I met her a long time ago when Slavin was here at prospect camp. We were talking about him and said his name wrong lol. She turned around, kindly corrected us, then told us she was his wife!

Some 4 Nations observations: - Jaccob Slavin reestablished himself as the NHL’s best defensive D-man - The Tkachuks are now transcendent. Normies know their names, how they play. - Will be very interesting see what USA does with its bottom six in 2026, because this wasn't it.

It is absolutely brutal to see him a sad boi 😭

Jaccob Slavin 🇺🇸 is the poster child for why a second NHL Award should be created for defensive defensemen. Elite.

Matthew Tkachuk's average shift length tonight is 29 seconds. Only 4 shifts this period. This is not a good sign for the Panthers. Clearly hurt

Jaccob Slavin's great defensive work in front denies Sidney Crosby of an easy tap-in goal 🇺🇸 #4Nations

Jaccob Slavin doing Jaccob Slavin things. We get to watch it every Canes game and it’s more than just being in the right place at the right time. He’s just an exceptional player. This tournament hopefully highlights why he should be considered for the Norris Trophy.

Jaccob Slavin is just a human eraser for high-danger scoring chances.

I can’t tell you how many local friends have casually asked about Slavin’s contract status this week.

Great article about Slavin, love seeing people appreciate him. www.espn.com/nhl/story/_/...

Jon Cooper, pregame on TNT, asked by Biz, "who are the funny guys in the room? Marchand? Doughty?" Cooper: "Y'know the sneaky one is little Seth Jarvis, I like that kid." #RaiseUp

It was great to hear Team Canada Coach Cooper giving Jarvy praise during the pregame interview when asked " who's the player keeping guys loose in the room?" He said Jarvy & "I really like that kid" 😉👏🏾

SETH JARVIS - no longer the 13th forward!

Not sure anyone could've done Uncle Sam better than Samuel L Jackson. What a treasure he is haha.

Kendrick turned a diss track into a Grammy and a Superbowl halftime show it is literally impossible to top that might as well tear down mt Rushmore and put up 4 Kendricks

The ASL version of “Not Like Us” is magnificent.

Why is no one just happy he was wearing those jeans? Am I the only one that was happily admiring his legs the entire time? 😂
