I have a dream Retroarch feature - to associate a game with loopable audio files that crossfade in and play when I hit the Fast-Forward button. Maybe there’s a modifier shortcut to select the right track? Fast Forward is great for QoL but the disruption to the audio experience can be rough going.

I can't explain why it took until 2024 for me to settle into a rhythm with Dragon Quest XI but I'm here now and it's just a warm hug of a thing. The retro music mod on PC really helped, mind you. That score began to wear me down after a few hours.
