Interesting piece from @lollardfish.bsky.social & @profgabriele.com (as always) slate.com/news-and-pol...

Golden retriever and duck playing with each other is the best thing I've seen today!!

A friend in need is a friend indeed.. 🐢

I am turning into an alt text scold because goddamn it, I need everyone to start realizing on a deep level how many people around them are disabled. You're not doing it for nothing. It's hard to get the stats but just in the US, legal blindness affects 8-10 million people.

This is the horse Geralt put The Whispering Hillock into #Witcher

Medical stuff incoming. Tl;dr: waiting for an mri then another appointment with a different team, but can go back if it flares up again Went to hospital, got all my vitals done, blood sugar tested, blood taken - all tested out fine. After being prodded and poked by 2 people 1/4

😆 Cuddles made me a picture Vetinari For Tyrant! #GNUTerry

Sittin at the hospital. I've had bloods taken, vitals done, and been poked at once. Now waiting for the surgeon to come poke at me again Meanwhile I am trying not to shudder myself into tiny pieces of dysphoric sadness. Stupid abscess.

Can I vote Vetinari in yet? Sure he's a tyrant, but he made things work, moved with the will of his people, knew how shit worked, had a brain, had discipline...(etc) OK he had people killed sometimes, but only when he couldn't make them more useful Seems like nothing but an improvement #GNUTerry

The Trump administration's lies about transgender people and their health care are not supported by the facts. GLAAD created this resource for reporters covering the administration's graphic and inaccurate mischaracterizations of the care that is supported by every major medical association.

BIG NEWS! I'm assistant directing & producing a trans-focused sci-fi short directed by Susan & Tilly Bridges (Star Trek Prodigy) with producer Dr. Erin Macdonald. It's a heartfelt story of trans healing—I'm honored to be a part & we need YOUR help to fund it! seedandspark.com/fund/long-aw...

I want to note that I'm listed in the back of the book for my ttrpg game TERF Defence Which is a tower defense game, using my Gambit playing card system, where you defend a farmhouse from a bunch of TERFs. It's here, if you're interested... 😏🏳️‍⚧️ leekhulme.itch.io/terf-defence As is Human Wrongs -

It's a simple question. Who will notice if X% is removed from their bank account or income? Who will find their lives negatively affected? If you're not taxing the rich and ensuring the poor get more, then you're fucking doing it wrong.

I was pretty sure that week-long course of strong antibiotics wasn't gonna do the trick but I hoped I'd be wrong. They helped knock it back some (and saved me a trip to a&e), but it's not gone. So now I have more antibiotics, and an 8am visit to the surgical assessment unit on Thursday 😭

Because if disabled people aren't people, and if you're definitely a person, then it could certInly never happen to you. What's circular about this logic, though, is the fact that losing your humanity is the only thing that actually scares people about disability.

Disability is the only minority group you can join at any time. No one asks for it or expects it, it just happens It’s not a moral failing. You didn’t “deserve” it. Most people will experience disability at some point in their lives So why do we treat disabled people so badly? 🧵

In the mail today, a copy of Trans Technologies by Oliver L. Haimson. I was one of the (many) people interviewed some time ago for research on how technology helps and brings #trans folk together, and helps us build strength & community Looking forward to getting stuck in to a read
