canucksarmy.com/news/why-van... I think we know why, and it's not a great omen as it pertains to Thatcher.

Safety "net" with Demko injury prone. Don't love the 5 year term for a guy who's become a starter for the first time this season by necessity, but he's played well, salary (4.5 per) should be ok with cap going up..

Might as well just put Sid in the Hall of Fame while he's still active. 😉

That tourney wasn't just great for Canada, it was great for hockey. 👏

Maybe ultimate difference comes down to U.S. even with a talented squad, not quite being able to match the game breaker top end Canadian forwards McDavid /McKinnon.

Just exactly how to go back to an All Star game routine now? Answer, very reluctantly. Even if it's tweaked, spruced and juiced up, will be hard to approach this.

Wonder if when they set up 4 Nations Faceoff tourney, organizers really felt it would be this intense, competitive, entertaining and ultimately high drama. What a treat to have this kind of hockey at the break.

So it's not just 3 on 3 OT 97 thrives in. 👍

It's pretty clear these two hockey teams were very evenly matched. Probably shouldn't be too surprised it came down to OT. Glad they didn't decide it 3 on 3. Old fashioned 5 on 5 produced McDavid goal in 8:18, not bad.

Tonight, it's nice to have Connor McDavid on this side. Great goal. Jordan Binnington terrific in OT too. Mitch Marner the playmaker in this game.

Will pick Makar for Canada, and if have to pick a U.S. player Eichel. Jaccob Slavin has had a very strong defensive game for Americans. Jordan Binnington has given his team a chance to win. Now Nike time(Just do it)

Ruhle: The left-leaning podcast MeidasTouch has just done the unthinkable—dethroned Joe Rogan to become the country’s most popular podcast…

What a weird scenario this would be? OT tonight and the winner is scored by......Can certainly think of preferable outcomes.

This is true. @bsky.app is the app of the people. We may not all agree. We may not even all like each other. But we can engage and disagree and agree with our hate That makes the platform the future of social media

yinzershop.com/en-ca/blogs/... Mike Lange was 76. R.I.P.

Sporting events with political undertones isn't new.Jesse Owens in Berlin, Joe Louis vs Max Schmelling (examples from 1930's) 68 Olympic podium, 72 Canada-Russia/ Munich tragedy. Miracle on Ice 1980. This game tomorrow night definitely has some, but to what degree?

Hands up if Canada-Finland was starting to feel like that Canucks-Kraken game. Fortunately this lead held.

Scarier than it needed to be, but they're in. Hopefully 4 on 13 shots won't rattle Lankinen when he gets back here. Seems like a pretty cool customer, doubt it will.

Bash er Tkachuk brothers saying how much "fun" it was in postgame comments.

The other options are Sam Montembeault and Adin Hill. Ok, this isn't exactly the golden age of Canadian netminding. Tough to make a sea change in such a short tournament, but all options are on the table. Odds are he'll stay with Binnington.

You have to at least ponder a goaltending change for Canada. Jordan BInnington wasn't awful overall, but the 1-1 goal is a nope.

McDavid had lone Canadian goal, but may be missing Leon D. who doesn't belong to any of the nations, just Oiler nation.

Americans lock up a spot in Thursday's final with a 3-1 win over Canada.

Jake Guentzel's second of the game (empty netter) seals it for the U.S. 3-1. Canada will need to beat Kevin Lankinen and the Finns.

Value in getting this game to OT for Canada, even if they don't win it. Even a single point could be helpful.

Travis Sanheim and Tomas Harley are good NHL D men, but they aren't Cale Makar and Shea Theodore. No excuses though, still anybody's game.

Dylan Larkin off the rush from a Crosby turnover, 2-1 "them".

Kevin (Bieksa) and Kelly (Hrudey) loved the rough stuff off the bat. Say it's real, not manufactured.

Don't mind McDavid goals right now. Obviously. Didn't love the Guentzel goal. Binnington needs to be sharper, or give way.

This ain't no All Star game.....
