It's like final fantasy, multiple worlds/stories with consistent rules and recurring themes. I could describe it as surreal scifantasy that focuses on mythology, history, & self contained stories.

Sounds interesting. I'm not familiar with Elric, but I get the impression it's a more dark or perhaps tragic setting? I like stories that divvy up attention between the cast, rather than focusing exclusively on just one or two character's.
