Its a good job I like primroses

While the world strives for net zero can somebody tell me what the carbon footprint of today’s space tourism flight is, and how it can be justified

Our last day at Trent Bridge today. All four possible outcomes are still realistic possibilities, its the ebb and flow of four day cricket that makes it so absorbing and addictive

I answered the Imperial War Museum appeal for letters home from members of the armed forces during WW2 delighted to say they accepted my fathers letter to his mother and it is now on their website.

With Trump and his acolytes consistently lying to the American people one wonders what it will take for them to realise that his policies will have a huge long term detrimental effect on their lives or are the too stupid to understand what is going on

To put the use of solar panels into context just had our bill for last quarter from Guernsey Electricity, if one removes standing charge my bill was £9 and that includes electricity used charging my car, and yes I know there is substantial capital cost

Just watched the Simon Schama program about the Holocaust very powerful and thought provoking. Made the point evil does not arrive fully formed it creeps up step by step, you have to ask is it creeping up again in europe

I was really concerned that the cricket season’s early start would mean the games would be effected by weather delighted that my concerns were misplaced Trent Bridge has been positively hot. The downside, is this down to climate change?

We have taken our seats for day two

What could be bettet

Aurigny left 10mins early 15 mins wait for train to Birmingham New Street 8 mins to change platform for Nottingham Train which arrived 1 min behind schedule and bus to flat was pulling into stop as I exited station so cannot really complain, but it was better when Aurigny flew to East Midland

Cricket at Trent Bridge tomorrow Spring is here!!

Probably an illusion but today’s new style Guernsey Press seemed to have more content that we have seen for years if this continues into the future I may revise my decision to cancel it

A significant day today due the recent good weather we have become since Jan 1st a net exporter of electricity. Purchased from the grid 778.7 kwh sold to the grid 782.1 kwh

With all the media attention on Welfare cuts I pose a philosophical question. Is it the duty of government to ensure none of it’s population lives in abject poverty or relative poverty, if the latter relative to what?

The Guernsey Press seldom justifies it’s price the exception is when the excellent Richard Graham’s column appears. Once again an insightful and amusing article

It’s a good job dogs haven’t seen them
