Finally reading this after hearing all the hype. I loved “The Great Alone” about Alaska. I’m disappointed so far. The French references and dialogue are trite, the historical references and the geography don’t work. I usually don’t quit books so I’ll finish but I just expected more. 🤷🏼‍♀️ #booksky
