I kinda like the new season of Fargo so far, it hearkens back a bit from the 1996 movie, parts of some scenes are almost shot identically. Considering I didn't really like the last season, I'm interested to see how this season plays out.

Watching Season 1 of The X-Files and I really feel like Mark Snow took a load of inspiration from Angelo Badalamenti. Not for the main theme obviously, but in the episodes there's a bunch of dreamy, droning synths, very reminiscent of Twin Peaks, but it is used much more sparingly.
