This is really important work. Thank you @thenfer.bsky.social

This is important from @beckyfrancis.bsky.social - as a society, we must care about excellence, inclusion and equity. That means high standards for all. It is how we make our good school system into a great system. schoolsweek.co.uk/what-do-we-m...

All about music today. Started today with beautiful chamber music at St Peter’s Church Highfields, and now listening to the extraordinary album, Altera Vita.

"How we turn our good education system into something great" - @leoracruddas.bsky.social @cstvoice.bsky.social outlines in @tesmagazine.bsky.social why Bridget Phillipson is "right to praise the past" – but also to "seek to create an even better future". https://buff.ly/3WKuk4S #education

Great thread from @steverollett.bsky.social

Privileged to be in the company of @samfr.bsky.social

I hope this book is a useful resource for @cstvoice.bsky.social members. It brings together our thought leadership into the three nested leadership narratives of trust leadership (leadership of your organisation), civic leadership and system leadership. www.amazon.co.uk/Domains-Educ...

"the problems our children and families face are beyond the reach of individual organisations or public sector services" @leoracruddas.bsky.social sets out an ambitious agends for change that schools will very much welcome www.tes.com/magazine/ana...

Thank you Jon and Emma for your hugely sympathetic interviewing. This podcast captures what I hold most dear.

Love this blog from @ianfrost28.bsky.social. Important reflections on the power and importance of small schools, and how we can maximize their potential.

This is such a beautiful and important exposition of the protective power of #SchoolTrusts. It is crucial that we support our small schools to join strong and resilient trusts so that they can continue to flourish.

We are at the School and Academies Show today. @steverollett.bsky.social now introducing @cstvoice.bsky.social trust-led school improvement work.

Who am I not following that I should follow? Education, civic leadership, hope. That’s what I’m interested in, mostly. @leoracruddas.bsky.social @mrjlauder.bsky.social @raesnape.bsky.social

I loved listening to this which I think captures the spirit of the @cstvoice.bsky.social conference. Thank you @gatortiff.bsky.social

Last chance to submit your views on curriculum and assessment. We’ve already heard a wonderfully rich and diverse range of views from professionals, pupils, parents, employers and wider stakeholders. It’s a conversation that everyone’s invited to. 👇🏽 consult.education.gov.uk/curriculum-a...

You were brilliant Jonathan. Thanks for joining us!

Have so thoroughly enjoyed the CST conference e and the focus from @leoracruddas.bsky.social on #Building has been spot on. Lots to think about and to take forward. This is a truly exciting time in education- time to crack on!

Anyone coming can see me and some much more interesting folks talk about community anchoring on Friday! Say hi if you're around

Very much looking forward to being on the panel for a discussion workshop at the @cstvoice.bsky.social conference about the curric and assessment review alongside @beckyfrancis.bsky.social, @nimishlad.bsky.social and others (not sure if they're on here). Grateful for the opportunity to take part.

This week, we welcome more than 1,500 delegates to @cstvoice.bsky.social conference #CSTConf24 on the theme of #Building. It has never been more important than now that we understand our capacity to act 'on' not just 'in' the system. I am so looking forward to seeing our wonderful members.

Just to allay concerns tonight. From April 2025, employer NICs will increase by 1.2 percentage points. DfE has confirmed that schools will be compensated to cover this increase. Additional information in due course. Special briefing for @cstvoice.bsky.social members on the budget tomorrow.

Delighted to be joining this important conversation with @tomrees.bsky.social, Dr Nic Crossley and Margaret Mulholland. Thank you for the invitation @jonsevers.bsky.social @tesmagazine.bsky.social I hope to see friends and colleagues from #SchoolTrusts there.

Just want to pay tribute to Dean Ashton, CEO of Reach South who has made such a huge contribution to our school system. www.reachsouth.org/careers/our-...

Typically brilliant analysis from @samfr.bsky.social

Agree @tobygreany.bsky.social Great article. @lizrobinson.bsky.social and Nicola Noble are surely right that we need to re-imagine #systemleadership. Strong parallels to @leoracruddas.bsky.social CST work on civic leadership. So we need to consider how the system enables the leadership they describe

Just announced: ESFA functions will move to the DfE. ESFA has played an important role in the system, but @cstvoice.bsky.social has long called for a single regulator. This is an opportunity to bring different regulatory functions of the ESFA & RDs together. www.gov.uk/government/n...

Congratulations Jack

Love this from @steverollett.bsky.social - a reminder that redesigns of inspection and accountability arrangements should build with and from an overarching strategy for regulation. @cstvoice.bsky.social www.tes.com/magazine/ana...

I read this paper this weekend, and I absolutely love it. Thank you @zongyideng for this important contribution to curriculum thinking. You have truly pushed the boundaries of my thinking. discovery.ucl.ac.uk/id/eprint/10...
