Atkins and Shapiro were meh when asked last year if they think Vlad is a generational player so I'm really not sure how Jays value players other than "defensive", "athletic" "can play anywhere". My own opinion is not Canada, not taxes it's the front office that's making players iffy on signing here

Wow! Not too surprised after Jays didn't try last year or didn't try hard enough to sign him. Atkins ego is too big for him to admit trading him was a mistake so he doesn't want to sign him back and look bad.

From the outside I don't see how players would want to come to play for this management who are so stubborn to change their ways. And as an athlete you would go play and lose just because they pay the most, that sounds fun

I want to like the Gimenez trade, I think i would like it more if they had added some power first. Just looks same old for the Jays going right back to defence first.
Call BS on Shi saying Vladdy not being signed has little to do with players deciding to come to play for the Jays or not!

Great show today!! I find it hard to believe that any player would consider playing in Toronto after seeing how the front office works and their "fix" of issues over the last 3 years even if they had the highest contract offer, but you and Barker would know. Just baffles my mind.
