I like FFVII&IX but I think at no point did I want to do more combat. I always rushed the story and only did optional stuff if I was stuck. Today, I went on a 1 hour detour around some path I could have used a chocobo for to skip it, just to fight enemies I would have missed, and I had great fun.

man FFX combat clicks so nicely in ways that VII and IX didn't. I'm actually having fun with random encounters in a turn based RPG, that's such a rare thing to happen

I'm curious if there are any stories that explore the fabric of reality from an ethical perspective because I swear there have been so many stories about some vague questions about whether life is good (and concluding that it is) but not a whole lot questioning what's behind it.

A good thing about this election is that FDP and BSW are not in the government, two of the worst parties out of the picture. CDU and SPD can form a majority coalition which is more likely than AfD. Also Linke got a pretty good chunk now, that's actually a relief.
