Interesting detail in the latest Chelsea training video, lots of night time training: www.youtube.com/watch?v=M1JV... Maresca probably adjusting to a week with 2 late night kickoffs. Best practices! Condition the players to perform at night.

Update on that idiotic Sky with and without Enzo stat:

Look, Chelsea are pretty good, I don't know what else to say. Note that this data doesn't account for game state (its my weekend project to add that). Using game state would push Chelsea down a little bit and Arsenal up.

My predicted lineup for tomorrow. Sancho vs Madueke the position I'm most unsure of.

Our defensive numbers last year were worse by a meaningful amount. In fact, I think you'd struggle to find a mainstream performance metric that would show us being better last year than this year

Latest pod drop: Chelsea batter Villa, Pressing in a 4-1-4-1, and Caicedo at Right Back? Youtube: youtu.be/YTMNnR2PvQQ Spotify: open.spotify.com/episode/1MFk... Apple: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/s...

Gusto not training today either? Conspiracy theory; Enzo, Sancho & Gusto reportedly being out with illness in the last 3-4 weeks. Maybe its actually injuries that we try to cover up by saying they're out with ''just'' fly like symptoms or something like that.

Acheampong in 1st team training before Heidenheim is the best Chelsea news so far this week. Him being a surprise addition to our squad for tomorrow would be nice.

Enzo Fernandez'assist pr 90 min numbers since the Noah game are crazy.

Very happy with this setup & how we have performed so far. At his best, Shile is a very good passer, & Felix, Enzo+Palmer receiving line breaking passes from him & Colwill is 🤌

Maresca talked about James' injury yesterday like its a minor thing, but looking at how Reece himself addresses it on Instagram, I wouldnt be surprised if this takes at least 4-6 weeks.

Sky Sports reports that Caicedo & Enzo has already joined their teammates in training, impressive how quickly they're back considering they arrived in London this morning? Palmer & Lavia also there, which is huge for us.

Enzo & Caicedo playing in Buenos Aires & Barranquilla (3h & 5h time difference to London) untill 3:00 Wed morning, & then playing again vs Leicester at 1245 on Sat is...less than ideal. And this will continue to be an issue for 4-5 PL games pr season, potentially also for Estevao, Anselmino & Paez.

Bergstrøm playing well right now vs Norway in the Euro U21 qualifying game. His contract expire next summer, perhaps a 1-2y contract extension in January & out on loan? Cant see him staying at Chelsea long term though, so if he extends I could see him leave for free/cheap next summer w/ sell on %.

Chelsea's opponents untill PL break in Jan: Leicester (15th) Villa (9th) Southampton (20th) Spurs (10th) Brentford (11th) Everton (16th) Fulham (7th) Ipswich (17th) Palace (18th) Should end 2024 top 3? Feels like 'B team' players like Nkunku, Felix & KDH could help us when PL schedule gets tight.

Chelsea have traded the press for control this season and are largely getting identical attacking output with reasonably improved defensive output. Set pieces looking a lot better too. Nice.

Almost felt bad for Vestergaard last time he went up against Nicolas Jackson. Lets do it again on Saturday.

Antonio Nusa might be the one of the most exciting U20 talents in Europe.
