One of my favourite moments of 2024 was listening to “Kits Beach Soundwalk” by Hildegard Westerkamp with my wife, on Kits Beach. We had spent an hour or so picking through the rocks and algae, listening closely for the same tiny sounds Westerkamp had recorded for the piece 35 years earlier.
