Always baffles me when someone said “I didn’t hear about that when I was a kid.” Of course you didn’t. You were a child. You hadn’t heard of most things. I didn’t know who Paul Newman was when I was a kid, that doesn’t mean he didn’t exist.

Here is my entry to the museum.

Sorry to get political but I think we should pay people to check for poop in our food

Just so moved and honored to have a piece of my work - and therefore a small part of me - hanging at the @bplboston Boston Public Library, which has been such an important part of my life since childhood.

Every year at this hour, we walk down to the marker where the British boats landed on 18 April 1775 (inland now, because the river is narrower) and read the Longfellow poem. I offered the children the option to walk the British route to Concord in time for the shot, but they declined. NO KINGS

Honestly? Maybe I’m just old too, but they all look amazing.

Exercise is fantastic for mental health, sure, but it also feels a bit like negotiating with kidnappers: "You will meet me at the gym for one hour per day or your family will suffer"

Why. Is. No. One. Saying. That. The. President. Doesn’t. Have. The. Power. To. Impose. Any. Tariffs. At. All.

Former Skadden associate: The Administration cannot pick and choose who gets representation. It cannot use executive power to scare lawyers out of advocacy. “I will not allow my fear to manifest as silence. I choose courage.”

I don't think people really grasp that sewing is a skill and that textiles are a legitimate subject of study. The whole point of Elle Woods studying fashion merchandising is that it was supposed to be frivolous but it's actually hard and those skills were transferable to Harvard Law.

March saw the third-highest number of layoffs in U.S. history, and 80% of them were caused by DOGE This was before the tariffs It's just...unbelievable

This was….five months ago

protect your capacity for empathy as you'd protect an angry child from harm. remind yourself that hate is caustic, and that the light we know as hope and love requires tending. say it aloud. or type it out, like this, as i'm doing for myself here

if the united states ever has even a hope of recovering we have to destroy the idea of american individualism. "they don't owe you anything" we owe each other everything actually

She died in binary. That’s dedication. RIP.
