Imagine if @aoc @sanders.senate.gov , every dem, SIMULTANEOUSLY held Town Halls where they allowed grant and contract recipients to explain to the country what it is they do and why it's important Invite all media. Including RW podcasters. @spaces Flood the zone Call it a Day Of Transparency

"I promise, America will soon be the Cybertruck of countries—uglier than you could have imagined, built for rich chuds, borderline inoperable, and on fire."

When I was around 16 years old, I figured out that the Marshall Plan and U.S. foreign aid were not altruism, but rather highly cost-effective ways to promote U.S. military, political and economic interest around the world. Shutting down USAID almost certainly will cost 💲 for every penny it saves.

I wish every D would read this @joshtpm.bsky.social piece. talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/where...

People keep saying it but Tommy Tuberville, who probably can't tie his own shoes, held up military appointees for like ten months. We are always learning that - oh, Rand Paul can just keep something from coming to the floor. I have never seen a Dem involved in any story like this.

This is the way.

Preach! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

This would be terrific. Love @benwikler.bsky.social

Replay of my set Friday night with Paul Oakenfold!

Yes!

This is just perfect.

I would 100% support a @kamalaharrisbsky.bsky.social run for CA Governor. Do it!!! 💙

some people really try to make housing policy more complicated than it needs to be, when the crux is actually quite simple: if you make it easier to build more housing (through financing, zoning, building codes, etc.), more homes will be built and rents will go down

I love actual data.

I find these historical reference points useful largely because I think they demonstrate the sheer scale of the crime perpetuated here. A small cadre of oil executives and politicians literally broke the global climate, *on purpose.*

not a landslide

I love charts like this!

How do we defiantly stand in our power, day after day, instead of feeling like we're constantly living under the Sword of Damocles? That’s the question I explore in my latest post. substack.com/home/post/p-...

Wow I really needed to see this today. Thank you ACLU - proud to be a card-carrying member! Time to up my monthly donation!

Even as small donors flooded in, campaign finance inequality hit record highs in 2024. For the first time, the top 0.01% (1 in 10K voters) share exceeds 50% of $s. The top 400 donors now exceed 25%. Citizens United opened the door, but soaring wealth inequality is what's driving these extremes.

Good.

New York City built more housing in the 1920s than it has built in the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s COMBINED. Nobody alive knows what an actual urban housing boom looks like.

Re-upping this in light of @jerusalem.bsky.social's great piece today. If Dem mayors and governors aren't actively working to spur more housing construction, they are enabling Trumpism. resnikoff.beehiiv.com/p/blue-citie...

To state the very obvious, this would put an avowed anti-vaxxer in charge of vaccines, allowing him to thwart the development and approval of life-saving shots. It's almost too horrific to fathom—a potential death sentence for our families and children. It's lethal. www.politico.com/news/2024/11...

We have to solve this!!!

Girl same

Gonna try another old-Twitter-style thread, since the last one got a lot of engagement. This time about a topic some people have raised, but needs more attention: the likelihood that Trump's tariffs will become an engine of immense corruption 1/

Writing more on this for tomorrow, but the Dem ground game in the target states really did its job. Had Trump only gotten as many votes as he did in 2020, Harris would have held Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, and would be losing Michigan right now by fewer than 600 votes.

Hi everyone. The Onion, with the help of the Sandy Hook families, has purchased InfoWars. We are planning on making it a very funny, very stupid website. We have retained the services of some Onion and Clickhole Hall of Famers to pull this off. I can't wait to show you what we have cooked up.

I would like to reiterate: We own everything. The broadcasting equipment, the supplements, the intellectual property for Brain Force Plus. We are still trying to figure out what to do with it.

not saying anything groundbreaking here, but I really think "politics as a form of content to be served up and consumed like all other forms of content" has been an enormous, underrated disaster in terms of giving folks the illusion of being informed while essentially being gamed like a drug addict

Yes please!

gays leaving twitter for bluesky reminds me of that scene from LoTR where the elves are exiting middle earth

This is terrific, thanks @datadrivenmd.social

Stuart is 💯% correct here. (1/2)
