The sweet irony of spending my Sunday filling out my annual OGE 450 form while *waves hands around everything*

Shout out to Wheel and Sprocket Bay View for calling me today (2 months after picking up my new bike) to see how things were going. Love the customer outreach (during what I imagine is a quiet time). (Gosh that was a good bike for my month out there - looking forward to riding it again!)

Maybe - just spitballing here - the sign that someone calling into SSA was on hold for an hour and a half (during a Congressional hearing as a stunt) is a sign that the agency is underresourced in that area rather than "telework is evil"?

Just because I don't *use* Metro a ton myself doesn't mean I don't think it's something we underinvest in and should be made more frequent/reliable/easier for more people to use. Amusingly - this is the most I've used it since probably 2016 when I switched to being a full-time bike commuter...

The Washington Post editorial board did a "should they be confirmed?" scorecard for the presumptive cabinet nominees. With ringing endorsements like this (for Scott Turner at HUD): "The former motivational speaker has never run a big organization, but that is not disqualifying." Well then...
