This is honestly evergreen content

The gov't obeying the court order and taking steps to bring him back...would be the most obvious explanation in a different timeline. The thing that might support that explanation here in the bizarro timeline is, Xinis's clear unwillingness to tolerate malarkey means she wouldn't do it lightly 🤷

Fortunately the middle of the Venn diagram of ‘people who care what I think’ and ‘people who read what I write on Bluesky’ is quite small.

I love waking up every morning and trying to figure out exactly where we're at in the constitutional crisis story arc

"Pete Belton, 44, from Ilkeston says he was shocked to find his forearm featured in a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) document used to help identify alleged members of Tren de Aragua (TdA), a transnational criminal organisation." www.bbc.com/news/article...

Look Anora isn’t that good. The titular character is supposed to be the protagonist but somehow by the end of the movie we know barely more about her than we did at the beginning. Don’t really understand what they were trying to do. But that’s me.

Figuring out how to extricate myself from corporations I probably should've already extricated myself from is kind of a fun project. So far: -Changed the default search engine in all my browsers to not be google (going with DuckDuckGo for now).

So anyway been working on litigation related to access to asylum at the border because currently there literally isn’t any. No way at all to have a chance to even apply for asylum if you arrive at the southern border period.

Suing the government over immigration policy is a big part of my job. I’m not a lawyer but I assist by finding and supporting the people harmed by the policies who have standing to sue. My org has been doing this since Trump 1.0. So what’s different now?

IS IT HELPING ASKING FOR A FRIEND

Self care update: I’ve been keeping my phone in a different room during the work day and omg it helps so much

Today had a client get re-detained for deportation bc ICE got a travel document after more than 15 years. Nothing to be done about it but it’s such a cruel and violent process and their family is devastated. This is surely happening to hundreds of people.

I know that the administration is counting on wearing out the advocates and therefore we are determined not to give up. But also we are actually very tired. The intensity level has ratcheted up like eight notches.
