The best dresses for summer wedding guests, according to an insane article in the Guardian. This one is primary school art smock meets Alien 3.

What an extraordinary, beautiful thing. Sometimes the only sensible response to scientific discovery is wonderment and awe.

Youth unemployment, 1981 by Tish Murtha. She was an extraordinary photographer from South Shields who used her talent to document marginalised communities in the North East. This photo has a post-apocalyptic feel to it. (© Ella Murtha all rights reserved)

Unintentionally, the greatest advert for a cinema I’ve ever seen

We've gone and coloured in the East End. This is a map of Spitalfields, Shoreditch, Whitechapel and part of Bethnal Green in 1746 -- now in colour for the first time

Insanely excited to be served lunch by a robot in the UCL East cafe.

For #RomanFortThursday this lovely little cigarette card of Hadrian’s Wall from 1932, modelled by a Playmobil auxiliary wall soldier. Did you know…if you recreated the Wall in Playmobil scale, it would be over 3 miles long?!???!?? #GoingToNeedABiggerGarden #PlaymobilInfestation

Just one university - UCL - employs almost twice as many people as there are working in fishing boats.

The library of Congress is so so so fundamental, founded in 1800, it’s the only library of its kind, it belongs to every American, it has every copyrighted book, it is non-partisan. It is for research, anyone can use it. It is our library and we cannot let them trash it.

One of my all time favourite fictional characters.

Excellent news!

With everything that has happened in the past 100-odd days this isn’t really surprising news, but it still feels shocking: apnews.com/article/dona...

Love this. In his “I Agree” installation Dima Yarovinsky-Yahel took the content from terms of service statements for companies like Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, Tinder and printed them out on A4 paper with a standard font size for legal contracts to demonstrate the length of these agreements.

‘Irish Traveller Family’, Killorglin, County Kerry, Ireland, 1954 a fascinating Kodachrome by Inge Morath. So many stories flow from this photograph.

It is disturbing that this is happening. It's even more disturbing that books are being removed in response to the threats and intimidation. Librarians need to be given more protection and support when this happens.
