Just wondering when Trump says he outlasted the Simpsons prediction of his death. It's 02.36 here. 5 hours ahead of the US. He's still above ground. (For the avoidance of doubt, I wish no ill on anyone. It's just the Simpsons have been sooo accurate...)

So meta has told me on WhatsApp that it's not going to read my messages, but it will use AI to help me respond to my messages.... it then tells me that to opt out I have to join Facebook. Lose lose for me. Another user on Facebook. Increasing the value of that company.

Yes, tariffs are a tax, but people don't mention often enough that they are a regressive tax. Taxes on consumer goods tax the poor at a higher rate, as basic necessities are a much larger part of their spending. If food goes up by 20%, it is a tax on the poor. Rich people won't even notice.
