I love horror movies. CBM’s and Sci-Fi too but mostly horror.

Days like today make me want to have a drink but I have to remember why I started cutting back. I was wanting the alcohol, not the flavor. Holding strong.

Goodbye snow, hello thunderstorms

CBM fans are the most sensitive, demanding group of fans. DC, Marvel, whichever, they throw hissy fits if things aren’t exactly the way they want them without waiting to see it first

Been on a hard rock/heavy metal binge lately. Van Halen has been the band this week and VH3…

Tried some BERO beer with dinner. Very good, definitely hits the taste without the alcohol effects. Well done, Tom Holland.

I don’t blame her for wanting the paycheck but it goes to show that money matters more than morals in Hollywood. Wasn’t planning on seeing Scream 7 and this isn’t enticing me to change my mind.

Sometimes you just can’t beat Chinese takeout

Nosferatu has me thinking where Skarsgård’s Count Orlok ranks among the best Dracula’s. I think he’s definitely Top 10 and certainly the best Dracula I’ve seen in a long time.

While its artsy/elevated horror vibe is occasionally overbearing, Nosferatu (2024) is pretty damn good and a worthy remake of the 1922 original. The visuals are crazy and the performances are rock solid, especially Skarsgård who once again disappears completely into his role.

First movie of 2025

2024 was not my year, especially in terms of watching my weight. 2025 is the year to change that.

Puppy Chow. YUM

The Xmas festivities start with Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale

Giving thanks to those who work retail. I did it for five years and it taught me the hard way how awful and ignorant people can be. The customer, in fact, is most often not right.

Thanksgiving is better than every Scream movie. Every bit as good a murder mystery and ensemble cast as the best of that series but the humor and kills are better.

Ending the work week the right way

What’s your favorite 80s slasher that didn’t get a sequel? Mine is Madman. Love the camp aesthetic and I think Madman Marz is one of the more brutal slashers of the era.

Top 15 (off the top of my head) In Chronological Order: Bride of Frankenstein Psycho Night of The Living Dead The Exorcist Jaws Count Dracula ‘77 Dawn of The Dead Halloween The Changeling The Fog The Shining An American Werewolf In London The Thing The Return of The Living Dead Candyman

Post a movie that starts with the first letter of your name 🦈

🚨HORROR HOT TAKE🚨 A Nightmare on Elm Street could be improved with a remake. I have a lot of nostalgic love for the OG but after rewatching it lately, it’s got big flaws, namely spotty acting (Englund aside of course), soap opera-level dialogue and a messy ending. Good movie but not great imo.

Gone but never forgotten. Rest In Peace Tony Todd.

Definitely a good one to remake, given the original, while fun, isn’t exactly a great movie.
