Evening out - Tbilisi edition😁

They started by raiding the home of a woman who is seven months pregnant, and her 7-year-old child. I guess they're telling us there are no red lines. Is this supposed to make us less angry?

1/ Georgia's Prosecutor’s Office launched a series of early morning raids linked to an investigation into funds used to help demonstrators pay off fines imposed during the protests.

Someone said "Thank god he is on our side"😃 My favourite image from #GeorgiaProtests

My protest look because I don't want to be fined by our illegitimate goverment. They already left me unemployed, as most international projects are on hold, and now expect me to register as an agent of foreign influencešŸ™„ I know this is temporary but why do we always have to learn the hard way???

Our fight reminds me of a character from a novel by exiled writer Chabua Amirejibi. He keeps running from the Gulag, gets caught, and in the end is sentenced to 90 years. He gets asked, why he keeps running, knowing he will either die or be caught. He says: because I feel like a human being!

A hard of hearing protester was fined 5000 GEL today. His pension is 190 GEL. The regime targets people with disabilities. We worked for years to change soviet-era mindsets (when they were completly hidden away from the society). We are going back and this breaks my heart more than anythingšŸ’”

šŸ”“ On the 150th consecutive day of the #GeorgiaProtests, the "Freedom March" is heading to the General Prosecutor's Office in Tbilisi with the call: "The illegitimate government must resign."

I feel guilty and people who did this don't😐

Mindia is wonderful photographer, a real journalist and often the only link between us and prisoners. He was already attacked on the street once while filming protest in the middle of the day, while police stood by and watched. Today he was kicked out court forcifully. Our journalists are heroesā¤ļø

Sandro Akhmeteli, wonderful, innovative Georgian director, was arrested, tortured for 222 days, paraded in front of his theatre and shot. This is the name of his last play, he knew what would happen and did it anyway. This is from Georgian theatre day this year. #GeorgiaProtests

Tbilisi walls have spoken😁 Red meant death for a lot of peoplešŸ’” #GeorgiaProtests

Mzia is a founder of two very important media outlets, and has done a lot of good for this country. That's why she is prison. 'You would sentence me to gulag or death if we were still in soviet union' she told judge.

I'm in love with our kids and protest doggos🄹 but police have completly lost it. They've arrested man on Easter (dragged him from the pavement) for shouting 'Christ has risen' at them during protest. They arrested another one today for filming outside the court šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø šŸ“· publika

Freedom to political prisoners Day 143 #GeorgiaProtests

Happy Easter from the streets of TbilisišŸ’«

#GeorgiaProtests Who is afraid of Georgian theatre? Apparently, minister of culture, who didn't have enough culture to meet with the directors she's known for years to explain her decision to shut down theatrical spaces and fire directors. She's not the one actually making decision but still🤔

#GeorgiaProtests This morning our illegitimate goverment put oppo party member in jail for 12 days. In the afternoon, they adopted law prohibiting receiving any grants without their concent. In the evening, most popular theatre director was fired for being in protest. Dictators are also petty

#GeorgiaProtests Mother tongue day

On April 14, 1978 there was a huge demonstration in Tbilisi following a decision to remove Georgian as a state language from the constitution. My mum says the students left their classes the second they heard about it. Gov retreated. We'll see if we can defend our beautiful language this time

youtu.be/Rn-zslSMBNU?... This song is dedicated to Georgian warriors, today it's for everyone defending their home and familyšŸ‡ŗšŸ‡¦

Tbilisi last nightā¤ļøā€šŸ©¹

This is what my childhood looked like thanks to russia. Soviet army killed 21 and poisoned hundreds in Tbilisi on April 9, 1989. I remember next 3 days when city was completly silent and everyone was wearing black. They are dragging us back into this #russiaisaterroriststate

#GeorgiaProtests Tbilisi now 36 years after Tbilisi massacre We deserve betterā£ļø
