Grosse Pointe Blank has the best soundtrack.

Really enjoying my series watch of Voyager. Although I watched the first two or three seasons when it aired, 12 episodes in I’ve only had one that I kinda remembered.

I really need to add Batman Returns to my annual Christmas movie watchlist.

Same here

Lost, Twin Peaks, Justified, Mad Men, Bates Motel, The Shield, Hannibal, Parks and Recreation, The Good Place, X-Files, The West Wing, Carnivalé, Deadwood, The Wire, Doctor Who (2005), 24, The Good Fight, Swamp Thing, Watchmen… I’m sure I’m forgetting some.

Any Friday the 13th movie. Everyone but Jason is a muppet.

I love that for a solid decade they just kept churning out Friday the 13th movies every year. What a time to be alive.

Automatic listen for me

Excited to see another lost Doctor Who story getting the animation treatment! www.doctorwho.tv/news-and-fea...

I’ve started watching Star Trek Voyager from the beginning. I may regret this decision but I really wanted to revisit 90s Trek and of the three shows it’s the one I’ve seen the least of (stopped watching around S3).

I love the S1&2 Discovery uniforms. They should have added a bronze though to maintain the three colour options of TOS & TNG.

The Green Knight is a Christmas movie.

As much as I’ll miss Lower Decks it had a nice run. Prodigy feels like it’s just getting started, and it’s a perfect entry point for the next generation of Trekkies.

@greatdismal.bsky.social I am overdue for a Peripheral reread, does the kleptocracy come before or after the Jackpot?

Se7en is a Christmas movie because people talk about the Bible and Brad Pitt gets a present at the end.

For its next era, I think the James Bond franchise should go back to light and fun. Not Roger Moore camp, but closer to Pierce Brosnan than Daniel Craig.

Trekkies have been saying “That’s not Star Trek” about new Star Trek stuff since TNG started.

We don’t talk enough about how Ncuti Gatwa is the first Doctor Who with a mustache since Peter Cushing.

Jean Smart as a jaded, snarky Carol Marcus

Rise of Skywalker is bad for so many reasons but its biggest sin is probably how it wastes Keri Russell.

I still think Toronto Velocity would have been a great name (tie it to Raptors without using another dinosaur name, play up the City angle) but I don’t mind Tempo.

All Doctor Who since 2005 is fan fiction. Don’t get me wrong, I love (most of) it. But it’s made by people who grew up as fans of the show, and that keeps it from doing anything truly bold or interesting with the material. Sometimes I think it’d be good to bring in an outsider to shake things up.
