Heading Downtown to do Night Out to raise money for kids who live on the street for Covenant House. I dearly miss my closest friend Meg who did this with me many times. Meg is missed profoundly - 46 is too young to die. F Cholangiocarcinoma and all cancer. She was a devoted advocate. Me too.

Forgiveness and showing up to show love to as many people as possible have long been strong principles. I am flawed like everyone (big time!) but I have a massive heart. People truly matter and our relationships matter. How we treat each other matters. If someone is a good soul, don't hold back. ❤️

This matters. People aren't interchangeable and love and kindness matter - they are everything. I had a concerning appt. with a Cardiologist this morning. I live this but let me say if there's someone you have had a falling out with, pick up the phone. At least say, "Bye" humanely. Life is fragile.

Why do we use food to manage our emotions? For our first years of life, food and love are one and the same. You are hungry, your greatest source of love shows up, you stop being hungry. If you want to understand your relationship to food, take a look at your relationship to the people who fed you.

Reminder that you can stumble your way to success. (Most successful people do)

What do tough conversations and brushing your teeth have in common? 🪥🦷 They both clear away unhealthy buildup that can cause bigger problems in the future. Invest in your future relationships by having that tough convo today 🔥

STOP APOLOGIZING!! Okay...apologize for... 💔 breaking your word 🚧 crossing a boundary 🤕 causing harm with your actions DON'T apologize for... 🐃 being different 😢 having emotions 👋🏾 voicing an opinion 🤸🏽 being your important, eccentric self Don't apologize for existing.

I’m looking forward to talking with Jacqueline Kennelly about her excellent and important book, Burnt by Democracy, in two weeks. @uoftpress.bsky.social See you there if you are in Toronto
