The Ku Klux Klan Acts (passed in 1870 & 1871 to protect 14th amend rights) were particularly focused on masked gunmen who violated the civil rights of Black people. We should remember this history when masked law enforcement ofcrs are deployed in our communities. open.substack.com/pub/sherrily...

I'm so proud of myself. I have an anxiety disorder that keeps me from doing a lot of things. I've been fighting it for several decades. Now, not only do I protest, I have marshaled at a rally & I just left my pos congressman a voice mail. This must stop now.

After weeks of having visit requests denied, Avellaneda Delgado's children saw him in detention and were shocked to find him in a wheelchair, unable to speak. The next day, he died. He spent four decades raising a family & working on farms in the U.S. He was a human being. He was our neighbor.

Here's an idea. Dem Governors & Mayors should be ordering their local law enforcement to arrest any & all unidentified and masked alleged ICE agents. If a random guy in a mask grabbed someone and threw them in a vehicle, we'd call that a kidnapping. Why not here? 1/2
