Some Senior VP at Target: Sir we thought The Blacks (TM) would let this go and come back but they haven't come back. They haven't come back sir! CFO: The line must go up, but it keeps going down! CEO, wearily removing glasses: It's time SVP: Sir, you don't mean-- CEO: Get me Al Sharpton

Trump wants to implement yet another of his pro-inflation policies, lowering interest rates too soon and too fast. He REALLY wants stagflation.

As DOJ argues that federal courts have no authority to order "any particular acts of diplomacy," I want to remind everyone that SCOTUS let Matthew Kacsmaryk seize control of Biden's border policy for 10 months and micromanage diplomatic negotiations with Mexican officials. slate.com/news-and-pol...

Literally “if you ask us to prove he’s a terrorist, then maybe YOU are a terrorist!”

NEW: A secretive surveillance company is building "AI persona" bots for cops intended to gather evidence on people. Personas include "college protesters," "radicalized" divorced moms, children. We have docs that shows how it works and what cops can do with it: www.404media.co/this-college...

Here's my blogpost in support of Krebs. It's different enough from those by @stamos.org or @k8em0.bsky.social that it's worth writing, though the conclusion is much the same. cybersect.substack.com/p/i-am-speak...

Must be all that alien tech.

Have any of the White House reporters even attempted to ask the Trump administration why it keeps saying that Abrego Garcia is in the domestic custody of a foreign sovereign when all evidence suggests that El Salvador is holding him *on behalf of the United States* pursuant to a contract?

Don't use Fortinet SSL VPN. I used to use it internally only (for access to management network from WiFi), but got rid of it completely in 2021, using Wireguard instead. Have used Wireguard for remote access since 2019, which replaced prior use of OpenVPN; 2FA was tricky but found a way.

Oracle is an untrustworthy company.

what kind of idiot would make this decision?

He found this so embarrassing he deleted it. Imagine walking into this business environment and your brand is "I don't understand supply chains". Trump's brand is going down with the economy, but people are underestimating what else will be dragged with it

Trump admin actions are indistinguishable from what they would be if he were an agent of a foreign power out to destroy the US.

Speaking now from El Salvador, Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) says he was denied access to Kilmar Abrego Garcia by El Salvador leaders. And was denied a phone call to him Van Hollen: "The Trump Administration is lying about Abrego Garcia"

No biggie. This man is temporarily in charge of, and Trump wants to put him permanently in charge of, one of the two United States Attorney’s offices that handle the most national-security matters. www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/202...

NEW: In our Signalgate lawsuit, the CIA has confirmed that crucial messages on Director John Ratcliffe's device were deleted by someone with access to the discussion — exposing what appears to be an illegal destruction of federal records. americanoversight.org/american-ove...

New from 404 Media: ICE just paid Palantir tens of millions for "complete target analysis of known populations." Shows Palantir is actively working on, and updating, the technical infrastructure underpinning the Trump administration’s mass deportation efforts www.404media.co/ice-just-pai...

Just asking questions, Stephen!!!!

"the president defied a Supreme Court ruling to return a man mistakenly sent to a gulag... and spoke of sending Americans to foreign concentration camps. This is the beginning of an American policy of state terror, and it has to be identified as such to be stopped" snyder.substack.com/p/state-terror

After being told by the Supreme Court to bring Abrego Garcia home, and that it was illegal to send him and others to a foreign gulag without due process, the Trump administration this weekend sent 10 more people to the Salvadoran gulag without process.

Randy Barnett has gone fully authoritarian

Someone with a Russian IP address used a DOGE account to attempt to login to the NLRB computer system.

The White House cites an NPR feature that states "banana slugs are hermaphrodites" as a reason to cease public funding of the network. But banana slugs literally are hermaphrodites! Like that is just a scientific fact! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banana_...

This administration sent 200+ fathers, sons, and husbands to be tortured in a foreign prison for the rest of their lives. 9 in 10 have no criminal record. None received any due process. If you *aren’t* outraged, you need to check your fucking humanity.

Either the U.S. government *is* able to exert monetary and diplomatic pressure on El Salvador sufficient to produce Abrego Garcia’s release, or it isn’t. The latter would be either a bald-faced lie or a pretty stunning concession of our national impotence. The Vice President should pick one.

BREAKING 🚨 🚨 🚨 Pentagon’s ‘SWAT team of nerds’ resigns en masse Employees of a defense tech unit say they were sidelined by DOGE. “Either we die quickly or we die slowly,” says the director. www.politico.com/news/2025/04...

The sheer absurdity of claiming the US can't get something from El Salvador as the Salvadoran president visits a White House that claims it can and will get things from more powerful countries is spitting in everyone's faces. Anyone who repeats that BS as if it has any validity is helping that spit.

MITRE supports a ton of federal cybersecurity work, with the CVE program probably being the most famous example. It's a globally used repository for vital information about vulnerabilities. cve.mitre.org I've asked DHS what's going on with the MITRE contract.

seems bad

There’s just so much shady shit in this story, but this really sticks out. Folks in NLRB’s IT unit were so freaked out by what they saw DOGE doing that they wanted to notify the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. Then this happened:
