Oklahoma bills are hitting the news. Such a joke. SDE wants 5 mil more admin costs for lawsuits. One bill fines adults smoking in a car w minors. Stricter abortion laws, don’t leave the state. No homeless services unless largest cities in state. OK legislators are cruel/miserly. Taking freedoms.

Makes me think of Will Rogers and his commentary of those times. So similar to this and still true today. Liberals make life better for more people, but YES the rich still rule the world. I prefer liberals in charge or at least balanced government. Our future looks very bleak.

@choldenko.bsky.social Just finished Hank Hooperman. Not what I expected. Hank’s story is worse than I expected. I’m an Okie & know conservatives in OK would NOT want this book in my old library, probably not in MS either. I’ve known Ss in Hank’s position; students need compassion. Great book!
