Ken Sim has passed a motion banning net-new supportive housing units in Vancouver. He has turned his back on our neighbours. My statement: www.onecityvancouver.ca/ken_sim_supp...

Vancouver must be a city for all its people. I call on Council to reject Ken Sim's motion banning net-new supportive housing, ANYWHERE in our city.

@lucymaloney.bsky.social is a tireless bridge builder & change maker. An incredibly hard worker and someone with deep integrity. And we need your help to elect her to #Vancouver #CityCouncil in the upcoming by-election! Sign up at: www.onecityvancouver.ca/volunteer I hope to see you out there 🥳

For a long time, city planners & political leaders have been allowing smarter housing densities mostly along the frontage of busy streets, & not many other places. It has big health implications. We should be allowing housing density MANY blocks off transit streets. Transit support, better health.

Hey Vancouver voters. This is good news. I’ve worked with and observed city councillors up close in too many cities to list (including Vancouver, obviously) for 33 years. Lucy would be a very good city councillor.

Ken Sim declined an interview on Metro Vancouver because he'd rather be hanging out with Bitcoin bros abroad. Our region has serious housing, transportation and affordability challenges. If you want to tackle them, Ken Sim is not working for you.

“No consultation with the non-profit housing sector that delivers more than 30,000 non-profit homes…, incl 5,400 homes with supports for people with disabilities, seniors, veterans, youth, those experiencing gender-based violence, people with mental illness & those affected by substance use.”

I've met @lucymaloney.bsky.social twice, both while on a memorial ride for a fallen cyclist. Not ideal circumstances - but it did bring community together. Since then I've seen Lucy do countless media appearances advocating for safe infrastructure - for everyone. This is not some clique. I'm stoked!

I am so excited to vote for @lucymaloney.bsky.social @onecityvan.bsky.social !! Not only is Lucy brilliant & passionate she works tirelessly with entities to make our cities better, safer, more equitable, and sustainable for all. We would be lucky to have her on council to continue this work ❤️

We’re absolutely thrilled to see one of our own, @lucymaloney.bsky.social, running for Vancouver city council! The election is April 5th. Lucy has been an awesome Vision Zero Vancouver volunteer, continuously pushing for safer streets, and we know she’ll bring that same passion to City Hall.

Lucy has been an effective advocate for safer streets and is an all around amazing person. Vancouver is lucky to have her, she is going to make a great councillor!

Now @lucymaloney.bsky.social for Council is finally some good news I can get behind today. Go Lucy go!

I'm so excited that @lucymaloney.bsky.social is running for Vancouver city council with @onecityvan.bsky.social! She’s been a tireless advocate for safer streets, affordable housing, and caring for our most vulnerable. She’s also just a lovely human being. Let’s get her elected!

Woke up this morning to some great news: Safe streets and affordable housing advocate Lucy Maloney is running for Vancouver City byelection. GO LUCY! @onecityvan.bsky.social @lucymaloney.bsky.social www.onecityvancouver.ca/lucy_maloney
