“There are no business hours while we do this. … Cancel vacations, cancel other appointments. I’m usually pretty good about things like that in my court, but not this time. So, I expect all hands on deck," said Judge Xinis. share.newsbreak.com/cmqdppqm

Judge Xinis just ordered a two-week sprint to force Trump officials under oath. Why? Because they defied a Supreme Court ruling and left a Maryland father in a foreign prison. No more stalling. No more excuses. This isn’t just a legal fight—it’s a constitutional showdown.

HAPPENING NOW: At the federal courthouse in Greenbelt, Maryland, Judge Paula Xinis is set to begin a hearing on the government’s efforts – or lack thereof – to “facilitate” the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Maryland resident who was wrongly removed to El Salvador. Follow along for updates ⬇️

In the written agreement with El Salvador, this line stands out: Detainees are kept in CECOT “pending the United States’ decision on their long-term disposition.” Judge Xinis: "Abrego Garcia appears to remain inexplicably detained in CECOT." POTUS has authority to bring him home SC - your move

I'm writing about this tonight, and I just did the first right thing: Turn off the TV. I was disappointed in Xinis; but maybe this is what she has to do to "effectuate" justice. We are IN a constitutional crisis. I respect SOME people who are moving deliberately if slowly to stop it.

Judge Xinis in Tuesday eve order homes in on key issue: "Abrego Garcia appears to remain inexplicably detained in CECOT." She cites text in written agreement with El Salvador showing US control: That detainees are kept in CECOT “pending the United States’ decision on their long-term disposition.”

'The judge appeared unimpressed by the argument. “It’s not a direct response,” Xinis said. “Nor is the quip about smuggling someone into the us. If you were removing domestic barriers, there would be no smuggling right? Two misguided ships passing in the night.”' www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

I understand what Judge Xinis is doing. She is building a factual record so that that record will be crystal clear when this case gets back to the Supreme Court. But I also know it is taking too long. Two weeks is too long. Keep in mind Bukele will just kill Garcia at the last moment if he has to.

The lies Pam Bondi and Stephen Miller just told about Abrego Garcia on national TV... ...I have no words for them. I am sick of calling things obscene or deranged. These are obviously evil people charting an obviously evil course for our country. The idea of Hell was devised for people like this.

Today, the trump White House barred Associated Press reporters from attending an Oval Office event and he continues to state he will not return Kilmar Abrego Garcia. SCOTUS ruled against trump on both accounts. They gave him immunity and now he is using it. What did they think would happen?

They continue to violate a court order to retrieve someone they illegally deported. We’re now well beyond a constitutional crisis. If they’re allowed to do this, their secret police can sweep up anyone, for any reason, deport them & refuse to bring them back. That would be the end of democracy.

So, the so-called President who “accidentally” sent Abrego Garcia to an El Salvadoran gulag doesn’t “have the power” to bring him back, and the President who imprisoned him there doesn’t “have the power” to send him back? So who the fuck does? The Care Bears? Batman? What the actual fuck???

BREAKING: U.S. businesses sue to block Trump tariffs, say trade deficits are not an emergency. 🔥🔥🔥

So, if I understand correctly, the President of the United States is saying that the Supreme Court of the United States consists of nine “sick people,” including three whom he appointed. apple.news/AMHDqIFcpRxi...

Thank you President Garber. “No government—regardless of which party is in power—should dictate what private universities can teach, whom they can admit and hire, and which areas of study and inquiry they can pursue.” view.hu.harvard.edu?qs=351b45ebf...

“According to an email obtained by The New York Times, H.H.S. intends to revise its web pages to include statements like ‘The decision to vaccinate is a personal one’ and ‘People should also be informed about the potential adverse events associated with vaccines’” www.nytimes.com/2025/04/13/h...

Booker: "This isn't just about Mr. Garcia. This is about every American understanding that this president is making an assault on the due process rights that are afforded to people in our country ... you cannot disappear people off American streets."

Tomorrow’s going to be a good stress test of the press. El Salvadoran President Bukele will visit the White House. At the press availability, every Q ought to be about Abrego Garcia: where is he now? Did US ask you to return him? etc. WH will hate, maybe try to prevent, so all should band together.

Why would the President meet with (and allow into the country) a head of state who refuses to return a person sent to their custody in error?

There is a 0.000% chance he wrote this one.

Do I have to purchase a Twitter premium checkmark and buy a Tesla to receive the social security I paid into?

Basically: I don’t think people understand that 36 hours from now it’s possible that America will have a formalized system for abducting enemies of the regime and stashing them in foreign gulags, indefinitely. www.thebulwark.com/p/bukele-abr...

STAND and DEMAND the immediate return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia. BRING HIM HOME! Abrego Garcia is a SMART Local 100 first-year apprentice who was working full-time to support his young family — before he was brutally abducted and illegally deported to El Salvador. SMART General President…

I am horrified by the violent attack and fire at the Governor’s Residence — and relieved to know that Governor Shapiro and his wife and family were rescued to safety in the middle of the night. (1/4)

A president who was truly committed to opposing political violence and standing up against antisemitism would have condemned the arson attack on Gov. Shapiro and his family by now.

Shortly after celebrating the first night of Passover, Gov Shapiro and his family were targeted by arsonist attack. We condemn this violence in the strongest possible terms, and are grateful the Gov and his family are safe. Trump hasn't said a thing about the attack and his silence speaks volumes.

Spoken as a true leader:“Last night, we experienced an attack, not just on our family, but on the entire Commonwealth of PA…,” Mr. Shapiro said. “I want you all to know that your prayers lift us up, and in this moment of darkness, we are choosing to see light.” www.nytimes.com/2025/04/13/u...

When an attempt was made on Donald Trump’s life, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris immediately issued statements condemning the shooting and all political violence. The fact that Donald Trump hasn’t said a word about the arson attack on Gov. Shapiro and his family tells you all you need to know.

Part of Trump's cognitive test should have included explaining what a tariff is.

This Tufts student was grabbed off the street, cuffed and taken out of state solely because she co-wrote a completely respectful oped in the student paper. And Rubio’s State Dept now admits they have nothing more damning than that. Gift link wapo.st/4j8d5Uh

Because Trump is on Putin’s side, these are words Trump will never say.👇

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says he has “100% hatred” toward Russian leader Vladimir Putin. “How else can you see a person who came here and murdered our people, murdered children?” says Zelenskyy. https://cbsn.ws/3YyaIlp

Life finds a way—this tree pushed through pavement and even wrapped itself around a stop sign in L.A. #Nature doesn’t ask for permission. [Marika Sparrow]

Forget about the legal case. A man was wrongly deported and placed in a notorious prison with leaders of a gang out to get him. Anyone with an ounce of basic human decency would fix the mistake and return that man to the United States

Again: it is supposed to be commonly accepted non partisan morality that “id rather let a hundred guilty men go free than imprison one who was innocent” but this administration and its party are gleefully inverting that premise and then some

You guys have to see this incredibly perfect Buckthorn tree near the Sequoia National Forest in California. Zoom in.❣️🌳🌲🌴 #PhotographybyAriaaJaeger

One minute Trump had us assembling iPhones and building robots, and now that’s off and he wants us to be coal miners instead.

It's going to be his financial Covid. Only totally self-inflected and it will take longer to recover from.

Can’t believe it’s #america 💔

Sanders: We’re here in so-called conservative Utah, and tomorrow we’ll be in Idaho—because we believe that in every state in this country, people are prepared to stand up and fight back

More in No, Other People: New poll: “America would be better off if more people worked in manufacturing.” • 80% of Americans agree • 20% disagree “I would be better off if I worked in a factory.” • 25% of Americans agree • 73% disagree • 2% currently work in a factory

Trump’s tariffs are hitting farmers hard — in ways you might not expect. This honey farmer voted for Trump 3X — now costs are through the roof, hiring’s frozen, and he’s lost $150K in government contracts. Asked if he regrets his 2024 vote? “Perhaps I should’ve considered other options.” NO SHIT!

Art of the deal 🤣😂🤣😂
