I'm skipping today's TCM lineup because I've seen most of the movies just recently. I'm watching 'The Best Years of Our Lives' on demand instead, which was on late last night. I can't even begin to describe how great and important this movie is. It's 3 hours but worth every minute. #TCMParty

I meant to take Archie's first portrait on Fart Catcher (IYKYK) this morning when the sun was shining in that room. Will try to remember tomorrow and hope for sunshine! I've not let him get up on it but I think he's old enough now. Oh the levels of greatness that sofa has seen!

I saw a recipe for a bundt cake that looked so good. I read the recipe and it's so many steps I just got tired reading it. That being said, I have the time to invest in making it but who's gonna eat it? Archie would! I've never had bundt cake before, so watch this space.

It's currently 18 F where I'm at now. The wind gusts are 45 mph making it feel like -11 F. So I tried to be dressed for the day but decided fuckit and I put my Christmas PJ's on. Even thought it's only 4:30 pm. Tomorrow will be much colder and I have my fluffy teddy bear PJ's for that.

The other rage is all chicken recipes are about thighs now. I cannot stand any dark meat. I know they are more affordable and allegedly more flavorful. But I just have to convert recipes to use only white meat. I just wonder why it's happened so suddenly.

All the rage in cookery lately has been Graza olive oil. I got it for half off at Target during Christmas. There's two versions - "sizzle" for cooking and "drizzle" for a finishing oil or to be used for dipping. I find sizzle doesn't smoke as fast as cheap EVOO but not sure it's worth the $.

I freaked out yesterday bc I think there was some big political news stuff going on and I kept seeing it show up. I started to feel a lot of anxiety and I had to turn off all socials. We can't do this for 4 years. I'm still burnt out from the outrageous chaos of 2016-2020 and I can't deal anymore.
