The one day I can't watch a Cubs game, they end up winning the game. For those who know about the fan who fell 20+ feet from the stands, I just read at a Pittsburgh news outlet that he's alive and has a skull fracture. It's still isn't clear how all this happened or why.

According to random tweets from the other place, a fan fell 40 feet from the outfield wall. Then a 2nd person jump down to help. I saw a photo and the guy who fall is flat on the ground, the friend looks okay. Rumors are they brought life support out. Marquee didn't show it. #Cubs

Amazon just delivered a package and rather than just leaving it as per usual, the driver kept ringing my bell like an obnoxious trick or treater. At the time I didn't know it was Amazon but I don't answer the door unless I'm expecting something. But then I got the "delivered" email so all is good.

After the clown car of a morning, I got Archie's heartworm/flea meds done and now that warm weather is becoming increasingly better (not today though), he'll be protected while sniffing out everything on trails and along the marsh. I also put on red lipstick because I deserve to look glam today.

It's only 1 and I feel like I've lived 5 days in 5 hours. Trying to get my doctors all in a row for oral surgery has been frustrating. My dentist's treatment coordinator is a total dingbat and faxed everyone the wrong thing. She talks over me so it's no wonder she doesn't know what need to be done.

This game is sooo crowd quiet! It probably isn't helpful that the #Cubs have had back to back innings with home runs. But there are more people in the stands now, but it still has very little ambient noise. Kind of like during the pandemic.

Wow almost no one in PNC Park for the Pirates v #Cubs game tonight. There was a 1 hour rain delay so that could be the culprit. But it shows how different things are at Wrigley. Fans there stick around through all kinds of weather. Hopefully some more people show up.

Tried to buy something from Alibaba that had a subtotal of $5. When I went to check out, my order was hit with a $9 import duty. It's been ages since I last purchased from Alibaba but I don't recall paying import duty at all. But to my recollection, I've never paid import duty on anything anywhere.

I took Archie, who is 2 yo, into a store yesterday to return an item. I had him in my arm bc the store doesn't allow dogs but they've been fine if I hold him. This guy loitering around starts riling Archie up and it was a visible struggle to hold onto him. Why are there so many random jerks?!

I had to be away from Archie for nearly 3 hours today. I came home and he couldn't get enough kisses and hugs on me! He is such a sweet boy and i loved his little tail just going a mile a minute he was so happy. I left him with a bully ring but he hid it or managed to annihilate it.

My local Target is so depleted of cleaning supplies. I don't know if people are starting to hoard stuff or if the supply chain from China is starting to show signs of interruption. It's also a Monday and maybe stock is depleted but the shelves were bare bone empty.

I saw a place in River North area of Chicago, I lived in River East. I thought it was close but it was actually quite far from my home. I never explored that part of the city because I didn't have a car until the last year I lived there. Chicago also has gotten much more interesting since then.

Archie likes his blueberry Greenies so much that he sits by the treat canister and cries and whimpers, even if I've already given him one. I put blueberries in his food bowl now, I had no idea he would love them so much!

I really wish I lived near a big city. I live near a small city that only has 2 interesting things and the rest is garbage. Food here is awful. It was such a mistake to live here. The village is cute but is mainly bars and I don't drink. Whatever.
