I saw that Garek Druss (@garek.bsky.social) has passed away. I am really sad over this. I did not know Garek beyond seeing him at his shows and around when he lived in Seattle, but I greatly admired him. From what I could tell, he was a genuine artist in all respects and equally a genuine human.

Been enjoying @seanagarrison.bsky.social 's work! This one feels like the title to me.

I find so much intense emotion in Coil's "pHILM #1 (Vox)". It's the opening track in this collection. This was a pretty big staple in ambient/DJ sets for me long ago. #coil #ELpH #nowplaying

This song from DJ Wally is really hitting a spot on this chilly Seattle morning. I find his songs nicely balance dark with silliness. Not sure about the album art though :) I've not listened to anything recent from him/related projects, need to do that! (if any) #djwally #pishposh #nowplaying

What’s his beef against USAID in particu….oh. Wow.

how quickly I have grown to detest the little men who must prove their worth by punching and pissing down

Fun listen and what a lineup.

goodness this new album from Damon Locks is good wonderful beats, sounds, voices/spoken word - all collaged together in a somehow both intense and chill way. <3 @intlanthem.bsky.social , @blackmonument.bsky.social

Always a hard album/band to generally recommend, but this album likely changed my perception of what music is/could be. There are themes in here I am glad #Coil ultimately drifted from, especially moving into their moon phase, but so much holds up so well.

oof. but lovely.

A calm, wet, drony #FieldRecording from #SouthSeattle freesound.org/people/liste... Good morning. #zoomF3 #LOMMicrophones

I love this song from @zeds-dead.bsky.social ! I have heard it a couple times on @kexp.bsky.social , specifically via @djjohnrichards.bsky.social ... immediately it has brought to mind The Books and Land Of The Loops (and perhaps #burial). So lovely. #thebooks #landoftheloops #samples

I love this art by Matthias Weischer.

I find great comfort in this image. Leonora Carrington The Giantess 1947 I have a tiny folding mirror with this image on it in our dining room, as well as a book of her work opened to this particular piece sitting in our entry way.

Oh! curious... Any other Seattle peeps interested?

This album is so good. Love what a cohesive listen it is, how it functions as a college of sound. It's also a jazz album I would happy recommend to fellow #nursewithwound fans (odd I know, but 'Who Can I Turn To Stereo' came to mind on my first listen, happy to take criticism on this comparison:) )

Washington state, his looks like a pretty good resource: Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network waisn.org Regarding #ice, they seem like a good place to both report activity and (at least try to) confirm reports of activity.

I am really wanting to explore and support the intersection of art and politics right now. Visual art, music/sound, perhaps film. Anything current folks are appreciating? Anything you are working on? Bsky lists/feeds? #art #politics #artandpolitics

<< This is way too big For you to carry this all on your own So you do not carry this all alone >> I heard these voices during the MLK/Inauguration Day march in Seattle. The resulting recording is not as beautiful as it felt/was in the moment, but perhaps some folks out there will appreciate it.
