Japan - what a great start for your first album. I’m trying hard to remember what mine was. First single was loving you by Minnie Ripperton but I’m trying to remember what album it was.

And thank you for returning that memory to me. Not thought about that for years. And my mother saying when we got home - thank goodness - I haven’t got to go to sleep with Woody staring down at me 😂😂😂

My cousin was obsessed by the Bay City Rollers. When my mother & I used to visit family in Birmingham we would sleep in my cousins room. There were so many pictures of the BCR my mother would tell me she couldn’t wait to get home for a good nights sleep somewhere not under the watchful eye of them.

I start as a plotter and then get bored so I write beyond what I’ve plotted using the initial plot for momentum. Then the writing takes the lead and influences the plot. Then I might plot a little more. It’s like a dance. I like to do what I call the plot-trot. Back and to, back and to.

I’m galloping towards the end of The Apparition Phase by Will Maclean. I’m also wondering why reading it at night seemed a good idea 😱👻

Thanks for the heads up. Just put in my request and hoping I’ll be lucky. Loved the previous two.

Dust motes dance in the sunlight, rays making their way through dirt smeared windows. A pink cardie on the faded sofa awaits its owner's return and the smell of toast reminds me I'm hungry. Somewhere a radio is playing. Yet my room is clean. Clinical. Like something has been wiped away. #WriteCBC

How lovely. I took a trip to Venice with my mum and it happened to be our last opportunity even though we didn’t realise it at the time. I have such happy memories of that trip.
