Chuck Schumer said if trump ignored a Supreme Court ruling, that was his RED LINE. Now that we’re here, he’s on it. He has issued a very strongly worded statement. #DumpChuck

Because we are constantly buried in bigger stories. The "flood the zone" strategy is rather effective it turns out.

The vagueness is the point

I’m sure this is exactly what you were thinking when you voted for this horse shit… You know who you are.

This is happening in spite of the fact that the president is not in charge of the Smithsonian. It's not an executive branch government agency, rather it's chartered by Congress and under a board of regents created by statute, none of whom are even appointed by the president.

Trumpism is like climate change: it's already here, it has done irreparable damage, and even if we take action now we'll be dealing with it's impact for the rest of our lives.

There is in fact no way to make a case for a moral or political obligation to have children that does not degrade the status and dignity of women by claiming ownership their bodies as instruments for collective use.

This is what its like to work in the Trump administration now. When a career official objected to declaring that living immigrants were dead on legal and ethical grounds, security guards went to his office and told him to leave. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...

The world will be saved by not just any woman but by those who step into the fullness of their power💙💪🏼 As women achieve power, the barriers will fall. As society sees what we can do, as we see what we can do, there will be more women out there doing things, and we’ll all be better off for it. RBG

Excised Maher's show and opinions from my life in 2020 when he platformed antivaxxers, and simply have not missed either. Bye, selfish Libertarian FYGM guy

An internal State Department directive, signed by Marco Rubio, encourages Department employees to file detailed reports — anonymously if necessary — naming any colleagues responsible. The directive was precipitated by Trump’s February 6 executive order, “Eradicating Anti-Christian Bias.”

The so-called Defense Secretary has ordered 400 books removed from the Naval Academy library. This outrageous ban includes works about Slavery and the Holocaust, but not a book written by Adolf Hitler. The effort to whitewash our history must be reversed and Pete Hegseth fired IMMEDIATELY.

So, the President of the United States can now order the DOJ to investigate anyone who disagrees with and speaks out against him. Classic Weaponization of the DOJ. Did I get that right? #Fascism101

Fun fact: Trump is actually spending MORE money than Biden did. Musk and DOGE are a FRAUD — their real role is shutting down parts of the government that regulate Musk’s businesses while redirecting govt contracts to Musk and other insiders.

77 million people voted for deregulation (Trump). Did they know they were also voting for pollution, cancer, and climate chaos loved ones and future generations? We can now be poisoned on purpose—without a check.

QUID: Tim Cook donates $1,000,000 to Donald's inaugural slush fund. PRO QUO: Tim Cook's #1 revenue generator is exempt from crippling tariffs on goods made in China. #Corruption

Hi folks: Facebook appears to be taking down my posts. Please remember they are available for free here (no paywall), and can be received by email (also free-- just don't put in your credit card information). I guess if I'm being banned I'm doing something right?

Senator Cory Booker concludes his record-breaking Senate Floor speech after 25 hours Massive applause for Booker

In 70 days: Planes dropped from the skies. Alliances broken. Markets tumbling. Classified info leaked. Foreign leaders humiliated. Agencies unable to function. And now, "Sorry your loved one was accidentally shipped to a foreign gulag. We can't get them back. Oops." What the hell is next?

Good Morning Everyone Senator Corey Booker I thank you GOOD TROUBLE is still going STRONG on the Senate floor I am so proud of you You are lifting up all of us. You are SPEAKING UP for the VOICELESS GOD SPEED, Senator Booker John Lewis is PROUD OF YOU

1/ As promised, a 🧵on an interview with Richard Webby at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis. He's been studying avian influenza viruses since they first started popping up in people nearly three decades ago. The article is behind a pay wall, so that's why I'm making a 🧵about it.

Wait, hold the phone. You mean to tell me that a stimulus package, amidst a raging global pandemic, that totally avoided a second Great Recession, at no extra inflation cost compared to our G7 peers, was <not> the worst economic policy in decades? Maybe Mankiw can let his colleagues know, too? 🤔🧐🤷‍♂️

We have the most corrupt and incompetent people running our government. I wish I could say “April Fools,” but it’s true.

Filibustering in the Trump era is a material-rich environment. More than 11 hours in and not one Dr. Seuss book.

Sen. Cory Booker has been speaking on the Senate floor for more than 13 hours — taking aim at Trump, Musk, and America's 'moral moment'. Just after hitting the 12-hour mark, Booker said, "I am standing here because of a national crisis that is growing."

Unidentified men grabbing someone off the street and putting her in a car because she wrote an op-Ed. This as flatly authoritarian as anything we’ve seen in this country in a very long time.

Trump has no concept of the nation or of its security. This is not an insult to his intelligence. These are just not cognitive categories for him. He can’t care about national security because it’s not a thing in his world.

My sense based on Mike Waltz' unhinged reaction to the Jeffrey Goldberg is that he's wound too tight and is gonna blow up in public

BREAKING (I rarely get to say that): Judge Howell eviscerates DOJ’s motion to disqualify her from the Perkins Coie case. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

If Waltz gets fired, it won't be because of the national security breach/risk.... .... It will probably be because Trump thinks he's a leaker....

NEW—After a day of uncertainty on where agents took Tufts student Rumeysa Ozturk, she appears to be in a Louisiana facility. 1400+ miles from Somerville, Massachusetts, where she was taken. A judge ordered to not take her out of state without 48 hour notice. She was detained last night.

America is collapsing with the grace and dignity of a Denny's foreclosure in rural Missouri in which the owners just put whatever food is left out on the corner

Amen. 🇺🇸 They want you to believe this is radical. It isn’t.

Trump could actually shoot someone point blank on 5th Ave, standing in front of Schumer, and he would say we need to let the Republicans see the death certificate first before we come to any rash conclusions.
