Sent an email to my school board, asking them to stand up against this blackmail to eliminate DEI. Little actions every day add up.

nobody: Lutnick: let’s somehow make jobs more menial tedious and back breaking!

I ended up loving The Wedding People, with all its quirk and charm and softness mixed up in the real emotions and vulnerability that we experience each day. But I still wish u had known what I was walking into. #BookSky

The @washingtonpost.com putting an article about voters who are withdrawing and not taking action above an article about the MASSIVE protests around the country today is why people don’t trust MSM.

Yall, I love me some Katniss and Hunger Games but there is no world in which I can read that book when EVERYTHING is happening. I am reading almost entirely things that make me feel better for a brief moment.

I refuse to believe this is “the America we deserve” when I see sooooo many people out there fighting every day, for months and years, for us to be better.

The most depressing thing was realizing we aren’t even 10% of the way through this presidency.

Walking into The Wedding People having read nothing but the book jacket, I’m REALLY wishing more authors put trigger notes at the beginning of books for people to read or skip as they want to. #BookSky

100% obsessed with Phantasma and reading a fantasy with an MC with OCD. Thank you thank you thank you to Kaylie Smith. The timing could not be more perfect as I feel my own intrusive thoughts rising recently. #BookSky

Everyone wants there to be a grand scheme behind all of this but the terrible truth is that extremely stupid people are in charge and they have a fanatical devotion to wrong, childlike concepts of society and economics cooked up by right wing radio hosts in order to sell tainted dietary supplements

When people can’t see cutting a lead by 19 points as positive, I don’t really know what to say. Yes, of course, we need to win, but that’s not an insignificant number of people deciding differently. That adds up. This was always going to be a long battle, and I refuse to give up.

I am bummed about Florida, but also encouraged that we cut the margin by 19 points! We have to fight in every district, every election. I remember when my own district was Eric Cantor, Dave Brat — and then, finally, Spanberger. Thankful for those who put it all on the line and run.

Reading my school library enewsletter, and the idea of less than 40% being low income = high poverty rate is seriously disconnected from schools in this country @chadaldeman.bsky.social and what needs exist.

I finally have the mental space to sit down and enjoy All the Hidden Paths from @fozmeadows.bsky.social AND I AM SO EXCITED.

ALA President Cindy Hohl: “Congress created I.M.L.S. by law, with bipartisan support, and Republican and Democratic Presidents signed those laws, including President Trump in 2018... www.nytimes.com/2025/03/31/a...

I finished Erasing History by Jason Stanley last night, and it shows all the more why they attack schools, libraries, books…. Please write your reps to stand up for IMLS, where they put EVERYONE on admin leave this week. Follow @everylibrary.bsky.social and @oif.bsky.social for more.

It’s amazing what 8 hours of sleep can do for my mood, motivation, and attention… which just puts into perspective @booker.senate.gov speaking for 15+ hours with truth and ferocity even more.

If you've lost the ability to see the value in any single anti-regime action, or refuse to do so, please don't waste my time in my replies.

Reason 38363637 why due process ALWAYS MATTERS and that it should be given to EVERYONE (on top of the fact that literally no one should be sent to this place).

I’ve never understood why the answer to “CRT in schools” alarmism was to say “no, that’s a college thing”. To me, it should always have been, “so?”

Department of Ed telling states to use Title 1 funding for voucher programs makes me incandescent with rage. But also every day something makes me rage.

I DONT WANT TO LIVE IN 1902.

Pretty impressed with these new reader descriptions, and I’ve enjoyed reading how they change — and all without AI. Thanks @fableapp.bsky.social for listening to your users and making changes. #BookSky

I sat outside for several hours watching my daughter dance and swing, while finishing 2 books. Sometimes it’s necessary.
