We need to invent new words for this feeling of being both in disbelief & in "I told you so" at the same time. This mass delusionalness is simultaneously predictable & incredibly surreal. I'm stunned & also not at all shocked. How can we have seen this coming so clearly & still unable to stop it?

Very true. Add that capitalism is built around the inferiority / superiority complex. Someone has to be poor in order for the rich to be superior. They get self-esteem from having more than others. Same with White Supremacy & Patriarchy. Someone has to be inferior to make them feel superior.
