I'm rather excited for this one

This week's installment of 5by5 Friday - a couple of new albums, some older ska and a few for gigs this week

Slightly different gig tonight with a bit of cathartic sing song to assembly bangers with a jaunt to Leicester. Now tempted to throw in a few similar songs at my 40th

What a lovely gig at JT Soar tonight with Sunny Side Down, Cheap Dirty Horse, Last Arizona and June Henry. All played very well despite tour lurgy in the camp. Gutted to miss most of the jam due to needing to make public transport

I have an in person team meetup including a not quite icebreaker to share a couple of photos, one theme is something you're proud of (outside of work). Team with at least 2 PhDs, professor, MBE, ultra marathon runner... I've no idea what to do, searched my Facebook for "proud" for inspiration...

5by5 Friday, standard ska punk, a few oldies, and a bit of folk punk pre gig next week

5by5 Friday has a bit more MPF but a lot of just leaving in my liked songs playlist whilst I worked rather than making actual decisions

Accidental hipster decisions yesterday when I decided to order sour beer not kombucha pop

Senses Working Overtime.

I have now listened to all the bands I can for MPF (4 not on Spotify/Bandcamp) so now ready for the day splits and stage times to be announced ready to work out how many I can actually see.

Ruddy lovely gig with my first trip to The Grove in Nottingham to see @merex.bsky.social supported by @springmajor.bsky.social and @georgegadd.bsky.social

Today's internet irritation is posting something on a group, then someone responding pretty much repeating my exact point to me.

Today was one of the rare occasions I made a trip to the local post office and have been reminded of the array of things they sell - hen-do sashes, insoles, a choice of filling knife and airfix kits (lots of airfix models!)

Enjoyed seeing the Meffs last night at Rescue Rooms, always manage to fill the space they're in, gig was a good level of busy, support from Snake Eyes.

Potentially triple gigging this weekend with Friday night my sister's boyfriend putting on an event for his birthday, Saturday is the Meffs and Sunday I'm very tempted to head to Beat the Streets

Something about today being Bluey Tuesday, so here are Einstein and Byron in a Bluey style (Created a couple of years using some online generator thing)

Here is a picture of Einstein snoozing. That is all

Today is apparently blue Monday.... youtu.be/rDKfjruo4P0?...

5by5 Friday Some from upcoming gigs, favourite albums of last year, a bit of MPF and of course ska

Life... Oh life...toast... ghost... Has been going round my head for the last 14 hours thanks to the radio station during blood donation

Just bought two pairs of tickets for 2 quite different events - a kids magician in Nottingham later in the month, and Citizen Fish with Eastfield in Derby in March, both are matinée gigs

Overheard at soft play: "it's beige so it matches everything" A group of mums discussing kids prrsents

A bit wet out (that is in theory a field not a lake behind Einstein)

And my 10 by 10 albums grid for the year. No real surprises there based on gigs/festivals, new releases (I know some were last year) and general favourites

Bit late with sharing 2024 stuff on here as I slightly forgot that it existed. Anyway, some stats.fm data

Getting one of the important presents wrapped for the little one, ready for Rebellion - hopefully he won't fall asleep during the @randomhand.bsky.social set this time

5by5 Friday for the last week's most listened tom Some new, some last year, some old and some festive

5 by 5 Friday of what I've been listening to the last week, quite a few releases from this year

It seems I'm ending the tear with covers gigs as last night a friend had a spare ticket for Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, fun as always but not life changing
