We have a new essay from @clhubes.bsky.social dropping TONIGHT-- don't miss this one!

I make the music for when everybody knows mom needs some space

This is going to sound fake but my husband and I have been together since 2011 (married since 2017) and we have gone MAYBE 5-10 nights max without watching at least one episode of American dad since then

I don’t mean to make anyone jealous but my dad and I are going to a Paul Simon concert together in May

After getting home from a weekend trip with my kids, I’m struck by how much of the time I spent simply preventing my 2yo from doing things that would seriously injure or straight up k*ll herself. During this time, never did she feel any sense of danger, like when do her survival instincts kick in

My favorite part of vacations is getting home from vacations. Nothing like it

My 2yo learned about moonlight at daycare. Day before it was stars. Surely we can all agree we’d like to be learning about space in the most fun, cool ways like she is. She’s learning amazing stuff I’m too exhausted to even remember I know let alone teach her The mom guilt trap IS such bullshit

The process from having the thought “I’m gonna buy a crossword puzzle book” to now spending days trying to decide which book as I alternate between “I’ll know nothing” “I might know some” and “I know all” has led me to believe I might not be in a place for things such as crossword puzzle books

I love my husband so much and at least once a day I think “I’m so glad he’s my husband, I love him so much” and I’m very grateful for that consistently good thing.

My best friend just had a baby and I crocheted this blanket for him. I used two different types of stitches that feel interesting and unique for babies and toddlers to feel. It’s not done yet, but like, hoping for feedback on how many parents would be happy w/ this gift??

My mom uses Siri to text me every time she’s driving and halfway through she forgets it’s a text and thinks she’s leaving a voicemail and it’s one of the best parts of my life. This happens at least once a day

I had a little encouraging phrase written on the back of my hand in middle school and my math teacher was furious

Never have I ever watched a Super Bowl

"If three people are talking to me at the same time, that doesn’t add up to each of them getting 33% of my attention. It somehow adds up to 0%." @kristenmulrooney.bsky.social's latest essay covers meeting individual needs while herding the bunch. www.the-pom.com/p/you-have-m...

Alex Caruso mentions Thunder starters standing and celebrating when Branden Carlson, Adam Flagler and Alex Ducas hit shots: “We’re all happy for each other’s success. That’s genuine. It’s not for show.”

Mmk so I swallowed a tooth crown yesterday. Started eating, had a full tooth. Finished eating, tiny stub of tooth left from root canal . $1,200 meal. Never worked so hard not to smile or laugh - it’s a FRONT TOOTH

♥️ ♥️ ♥️

Every day I pick up my 2yo from daycare, she insists on opening and closing all the doors herself (classroom, entrance/exit) but will not let anyone else enter or exit with her. She turns to adults and says “you wait here, my turn for door” and it’s so funny I haven’t even tried to stop her

Did anyone watch Kevin Can F**K Himself? I kinda loved it, curious what anyone else thinks.

I’ve been in a daze for a few weeks and today I just started sobbing out of nowhere. It’s partially sadness but also so much of it is sweetness in people sharing their experiences or small wins and helping everyone in their sadness.
