Al gore is pissed off and I’m here for it

If I found Kristi Noem’s purse with 3k cash, I’d give that money to my local Humane Society in memory of the pup she murdered.

The thing that scares me, as a disabled person, is this opens the way to a registry of all disabled/chronically ill people. And one only needs to look at history to see where that can end up.

“Gun registry? No. Can't do it. Impossible. Autism registry? Yes, we need to know where you are...” “Fuck all the way off, sir.” Seriously! 😎✨

Legit

Go to hell

I miss the days when you could go minutes, hours even, without thinking about what the President was doing.

Can’t fully express what a nightmare scenario it is that eugenicists are creating a centralized database of people’s health info.

from today's post — it seems incredible that I even have to write something as obvious as this, but welcome to Donny Convict's America in the year 2025. thanks for reading! link to the whole ball of wax is here: bit.ly/42ooYzF (longer excerpt in the alt text)

"Kennedy’s disgust with and devaluation of autistic people fits neatly into a eugenic logic that views health as virtue, and sees illness, or difference, as a kind of moral lapse which should be subject to punishment or censure."

The death and funeral of The Pope is going to consume international media coverage. Make sure to pay attention to what this administration is doing during this time

at this point 2025 feels like being awake during surgery

Stop calling it deporting, so MAYBE more Americans will get it. "Deporting" is sending someone back, after due process, to the country they came from, where they arrive a free person. This is human trafficking to a foreign torture prison for the rest of their lives. GET THE LANGUAGE RIGHT.

Thinking of my mom today. With everything going on, I didn't realize till 11pm last night that it was the 5th anniversary of Mom's passing from covid.

America. 💔

Being chronically ill means living a life of constant upheaval. You can do everything “right” & your body still rebels. It’s why we have to cancel plans & say no to things we really want to do We aren’t lazy. We don’t dislike you. We’re trying to manage our energy while our body works against us.

Tonight is the 250th anniversary of Paul Revere’s midnight ride. May his memory remind us all to resist the tyranny forming in our government.

This.

Too often, disabled people are accused of being lazy. Of not “trying hard enough” We try so hard. Managing complex illness is a full time job. You never get a break. You do it through pain & fatigue others can’t fathom. It’s not lazy to rest. It’s not lazy to protect your baseline. It’s survival.

This is an obvious point, but cannot overstated. There is an enormous difference between deporting someone - where they get off a plane as a free citizen in their home country AND FUNNELING THEM INTO A BRUTAL PRISON FROM WHICH THEY HAVE NO CHANCE OF EVER EMERGING!!!
