I think about framerate and performance a lot; I've been working in VR for years, and even now on my non-VR game, I'm using Unity's extremely performant DOTS/ECS systems. These are such fun/frustrating tightropes to walk; I could tank the framerate immediately in either project with one bad decision

Having a fast way to test anything in your game is often worth building and maintaining. The time it takes you to test any given thing is added to every single change. Making that smaller makes you go faster! (Here's mine; it's not the prettiest UI but it works great on a Steam Deck and I love it)

This one is very neat in my opinion (If anyone's curious, my animals' body configurations are less random than they used to be; some things got flattened out or lost when I rewrote the system for ECS. That's coming back, but for now, it's why there are a lot of these three-eyed tiny-legged fellas)
