ICYMI @martinwebber.bsky.social and I have some thoughts on the recent evaluation of Right Care Right Person… there’s still so much we don’t know for sure about the wider impact of this policing policy or how mental health services should be strengthened so that the police are less involved anyway

Two evaluations have recently been published exploring the impact of Right Care Right Person on the police, health and social care. @lizhughesdd.bsky.social and I have just posted a blog with our thoughts on them - vulnerabilitypolicing.org.uk/whos-job-is-....

Check out our blog which is our reflections on the recent evaluation of the policy of Right Care Right Person - still a lack of evidence about impact on mental health and ambulance service especially given the under resourcing of health and social care

Big day for policing with Home Secretary to set out reform plans, with backing from NPCC chair Gavin Stephens. Later @policefoundationuk.bsky.social will be publishing a paper by me and Tom Gash setting out what a new national police body should look like www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2024...

Access to green space is such an important factor in health and well-being, we all know this from our lived and living experience, and it is time to incorporate it into our models of addiction and mental health disorders. Glad to see this work! Bravo!

I feel very strongly about this as a parent of a young adult with SEN. As nurses we need to do better but this will be hampered by the decimation of learning disability nursing field www.learningdisabilitytoday.co.uk/topic/health...
