Birds sleeping sound on dried sunflowers!

My daughter just asked me who David Hasselhoff was, so I told her. She then informed me he has a crab named after him. So I guess we have both learned something about David Hasselhoff today

I bought sunglasses because they looked like Sarah Connor’s in T2 and when I showed my husband he said, “Who are you Sarah Connor?” ❤️

One thing I always keep in mind when I meet new people is not what they can do for me but what I can do for them. A goal of mine is to be someone who can offer the same help and kindness that others have given and shown me 🙇🏻‍♀️🤍

Finally watching Severance, because I’m not getting enough dystopia.

This '70s band looks familiar but I can't place them.

A Conversation Between Two Eagles

If you think the headline is good, you should read the copy.

I don't watch the news because if I wanted to listen to a loud asshole all day, I'd eat a couple corner store bean burritos and spare myself the migraine.

I’m watching Watership Down (1978) for the first time and realizing we just don’t scare kids with art like we used to.

every heist movie should include a scene where they Google “how much does gold weigh” and then start crying.

In an ideal world the President of the United States, the world's richest man, and the two worst humans alive would be four different people.

I can’t remember where I read this, but it’s important: Why is it that when people think about traveling to the past, they worry about doing something small that will drastically change the present, but no one in the present thinks that doing something small today can drastically change the future?

Imagine being rich enough to do anything you want and choosing to take food and medicine from starving children to give yourself even more money.

the right controls the entire government, control over information and what gets censored by the government, the mainstream media, every economic institution and the right is still pissed off about some people putting pronouns in emails

I can’t stop thinking about these two headlines

I don't usually "do memes" but I'm about to hop on a 7hr flight so I say we do a #StarTrek meme roundup today. Dig deep, and bring the best you got! Most liked meme wins 5 Stanley Nickels!

I hope America is as lucky as the delta jet - everyone survives but the right wing explodes

Professors please pull up a chair. I’ve been talking to my classes about what has been going on. I explained indirect costs to them. I talked to them about what a probationary employee is in the government. At the end of class they asked if we could talk about it more. (1/)

Quite an exchange here between Judge Reyes and DOJ attorney on how "pronoun usage" affects military readiness.

THIS 👏🏻 Do you think AOC is right?

I deeply appreciate how The Orville has carried on the great Star Trek tradition of making every habitable planet look like a different county park in the greater Los Angeles area

If I opened a wig shop for men, I’d call it Hell Toupee.

Chronic illness is just that… chronic. We may have good days & bad days … but we’re always sick When you say “what’s wrong with you now” or “are you better yet” you’re refusing to accept the reality of our disabilities. Our conditions don’t relent. There’s no break. There’s no “better”

Let's be very clear: Strong men - men who are truly role models - don't need to put down women to make themselves feel powerful. People who are truly strong lift others up. People who are truly powerful bring others together. ~ Michelle Obama

My daughter started watching Gravity Falls. I haven't watched it myself, but I deeply approve of suddenly finding childish drawings of glaring eyes in flaming pyramids next to pictures of hearts and ponies.

my life is perfect in the sense that trees are perfect, most are not symmetrical, they are rough, they can be missing branches and have nicks from attempts to chop them down, but trees are always supposed to be where they are just like me plus i got a big trunk if you catch my meaning madam

The biggest inaccuracy movies taught us is that villains are cool. Not talking about the moral aspects, just that they would look and act stylishly. Real world evil is so frequently dorky, schlubby and banal.

According to Star Trek, TV stops being a popular medium around 2030. I hope they wrap up Severance before then
