A daily reminder that social media isn't an efficient way to make friends because the person is curating what you see and know. You can meet someone in real life and know instinctively within a couple of weeks whether they're good humans. Online? It might take *years*. You might never find out.

The obviously stupid thing about making mail-in ballots "due" by election day is that the voter can't control what happens to the ballot after it's mailed. They can only control *when they mail it*. It's unreasonable to create a "due date" based on anything other than the postmark date.
