Yeah, I've decided I'm going to start buying physical copies of books again rather than using my Kindle. As someone who's worked at bookstores for more than 20 years, I always hated the idea of books being enslaved to a device.

They made it their mission to punish Democratic leadership by removing them from power. Now they're baffled that Democratic leadership has no power.

Americans pretty overwhelmingly disapprove of Elon Musk’s involvement in government (per this poll from two days ago) and those numbers will continue to decline as more people figure out what’s going on. archive.md/427Ww

Also note the context of some bad polling numbers for Musk, a few GOP in Congress raising a few questions, and another story or two of "WH insiders and Cabinet Secs worried and unhappy about Musk". Trump is really doubling down on Elon, not throwing him overboard.

Put another way: "leftists hate centrists and centrists hate the leftists, but *everyone* hates the Democrats". There are too many people that hate Trump and the Democratic Party's current approach for this to be sustainable. And Trump isn't going to change

More convinced than ever that senior and elected Democrats might really be misreading the sentiment among their base, and that they could be caught badly flat-footed by their own voters very soon. split-ticket.org/2025/02/21/t...

This idiot continues to run the exact stupid playbook he ran on Twitter on the American government. Musk’s involvement in government is polling terribly and it’s getting worse. The Boer is vulnerable to American rage.

If I were treating the federal workforce like worthless peons whose fates I hold in my hand, pretty sure I wouldn’t be using the word “bullets” in my communications with them at all.

Musk just sent an email to the federal work force, with a subject line "What did you do last week?" "Please reply to this email with approx. 5 bullets of what you accomplished this week and cc your manager," it said.

The bullet points in the email from the federal judges are going to be very interesting!

My ultimate goal here is to say that Musk is leading an internal insurrection against the Constitution of the United States, and anyone who collaborates with him, accommodates him, or fails to act on their authority to arrest or stop him, has violated their oath under Section 3, 14A.

I don’t mean to be rude about this, but since Musk isn’t the DOGE administrator, under what authority is he ordering this? If this is an order from Trump, where is it written up and why isn’t it implemented via Cabinet secretaries?

The reply email inbox for this “what did you do last week” email is [email protected], so, you know, definitely don’t send them any unrelated messages that would interfere with their ability to carry out Elon’s dumbass bullshit

Sent the five bullets they requested.

This is the text of the bullshit email all federal government employees just received from the Office of Personnel Management (or are about to receive).

I’m serious. Every single federal employee who gets this email from Elon Musk should email him back with these five words: “Hey Elon, go fuck yourself.”👇

The latest message from Elon Musk to federal employees. This comes after President Trump posted that he wanted Elon to get more aggressive.

This is how I would respond to the email Musk has had sent to government employees (not legal advice). 1. Refused to violate the law. 2. Refused to violate the Constitution. 3. Refused to bow or scrape. 4. Refused to bend a knee. 5. Deleted this stupid email.

It’s also logistically impossible. It’s wrong. It’s unconstitutional. And every single federal employee should send @elonmusk & Trump an email and tell them both to go fuck themselves.

The "superior" race? Shit-head on a blubber body and a walking yeast infection?

Interesting thing for the President to say about a person who, according the government’s lawyers, “has no actual or formal authority to make government decisions himself” and “only has the ability to advise the President, or communicate the President’s directives.”

It's not just one instance of a billion being only a million: "DOGE's only public ledger is riddled with mistakes," a team of New York Times reporters found. The figures are "full of accounting errors, outdated data and other miscalculations." www.nytimes.com/2025/02/21/u...

@repbarragan.bsky.social isn’t gonna get from the DOJ attention like AOC did for helping immigrants know their rights. But that doesn’t mean it’s any less important or worth going viral.

In Wilmington, California right now for a March and Rally for Immigrant Rights. Here with our immigrant community, friends and our local and state partners to stand with immigrants. We will defend the rights of immigrants and their families against the Trump administration. #HeretoStay

NEW: The importance of being litigious. Lawsuits matter — even when they might not "win." This afternoon, at Law Dork: www.lawdork.com/p/the-import...

As America is being torn apart, weakened, and sold to the highest bidder, I think about all the folks who told me, "Well, it won't be THAT bad" and "We survived 4 years of Trump..." and "The systems will hold." All of them are privileged and well-off. Alas. We're all in it now.

"You can't ship them because they're not canon." Shippers have been an unstoppable force since the beginning of time. You cannot stop them, your words are futile

I love the feeling of starting a new game and looking forward to experiencing a brand new adventure for the first time. It’s a feeling that I can’t explain 🎮🤗💛

the anarchists and the liberals are natural enemies. like the communists and the anarchists. or the socialists and the anarchists. or the anarchists and the anarchists. damn anarchists, they ruined anarchism

Republican President George H.W. Bush appointed America’s first black Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Republican President Donald J. Trump fired America’s second black Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. For no reason at all.
